The liberals claim the punch was "justified". Yeah right, like there was "justified" provocation. I was there, the thug tried to engage me and became frustrated because I just ignored the fool. And soon thereafter I witnessed the thug releasing a "justified" assault on the young conservative.
Also, the DU creeps are calling this guy a "freeper". That's what some DUmb and DUmber are saying at DU. Perhaps they ASSume he is a freeper because he stands his ground on principle and will not be intimidated by some drunken liberal thug. They really lack the essential emotional maturity and logic to speak with any intelligence. Since this is (still) a free America, I expect folks to stop acting like apes and let other people voice their opinions without fear of some random act of violence. Riots during WTO in Seattle were instigated by the Marxist radicals no doubt, but the libs need to either politically distance themselves from the fringe or take responsibility for their alliance and the chaos they perpetuate. But hey, taking personal responsibility is a conservative ideal and therefore impractical.
They say "Peace" but mean violence if it suits them. Just like in Everett last week when an anti-Bush rally member speared a Bush supporter with her long flag pole that displays her large green flag with a white peace sign. Another Nader freak of nature lashing out as if violent physical acts against the opposition is a "civil right" or somehow "justified". They intend on suppressing the opposition. Their tactics are exhibited with violence on the street or overt legal maneuvers. Especially with activist judges abusing their position by legislating from the bench like WA State judge William Downing. Such judges are usurping power from both the legislature and from "We the People". Liberals claim they believe in our constitution; however it is clearly evident that civil rights, due process and free speech are among their long list of double standards. Many liberals (socialists) prove to be such hypocrites.

There are only six justifications under Washington law for the use of force, and none of them are "holding a Bush sign." Even "screaming in your face" is not a justification.
However, use of force sufficient for defense against assault is one of them. Would have been interesting to see the DU reaction if the victim had pulled out a defensive pistol while backing away from his attacker.
