Unfortunately, the GM management is too stupid and schlerotic to ever actually *build* or *sell* a car like this.... or if they do, they will make it as ugly as possible.

Maybe they shouldn't have used the letters 'SS' . . . Libs will start calling it the hitlermobile.
By the way, Hitler was totally gay. I used the SS, the way the pedo priests used altar boys.

The car looks great. When it comes to sharp-looking cars, Bob Lutz is the man (he brought Dodge out of the boxy K-car era). But doesn't GM have the money to develop a five-speed or six-speed automatic transmission? It seems that GM is always behind the curve on technology.

GM and Ford both seem to be allergic to selling any decent cars other than the Corvette or new Mustang.
Here's Ford's view of their customers (from an article about the boring new Ford Five Hundred):
While General Motors and the Chrysler group are expanding their lines with rear-drive models, ["executive director for medium and large front-drive and all-wheel-drive platforms" Paul] Mascarenas said: "I'm not sure the customer needs rear-wheel drive."

Looks like a squat Volkswagen bug. Just hope they don't overprice.

I like the stats, but the body looks blaaah. Was hoping for a resurrected muscle car style. Oh well.

Friggin' awesome! I've never owned Chevy products, but would take a *serious look* at one of those... s-w-e-e-t!
"2003 Chevrolet SS Concept Car"?
Ummm, it's 2004; where are those units?

How's this different than the "Cobalt" I saw teased on TV the other night?
It was "nuzzling" w a vet.

If its a Concept Car it wont be in production. It does sound and look good - far better than the re-release of the disappointing Impala and Malibu.

I love my lumbering big ole car. The whole family can fit in with gobs of head room and leg room. It gets good enough mileage. The trunk can hold the entire stock of one Publix supermarket. It's built to withstand a direct hit from an SUV.
If I smear my car with vaseline and it's photographed from the right angle, it looks enticing, too.
I may be old-fashioned, dahlings, but I buy the steak and not the sizzle.
