Several left wing groups plan to wreck the Bush Cheney website during the Convention to block it's use during the convention. In a denial of service attack, the hacker floods the target server, using up as much bandwidth as possible.
wow, they are tuff. I would cross the street if I saw these people coming towards me
If they do not intend to be civil, might we just start referring to the fringe Leftists as barbarians?
This is a group obviously funded and supported by the Kerry campaign.
DOS attacks are illegal I think ....
I'll be very surprised if the site's ISP doesn't have its firewalls properly configured to stop a denial of service attack.
yes 1066AD, it is illegal to do this. Also I saw an activist on Foxnews. I THINK it was Sheperd Smith who interviewed her. He asked her about 6 times if her group opposed violent protest. She dodged the question each time.
I don't know anything about firewalls. I wonder if the bandwidth was increased would it minimize a Denial of Service attack
They should be turning back ICMP packets and header-only HTTP requests before they even reach the network.
