Freep Fox News

Posted on 08/20/2004 4:13:06 PM PDT by CHAROM

Are you tired of watching Fox News interview and quote Liberal after Liberal. What happened to Fair and Conservative. When Ruport Murdock testifed before Congress early this year to expand his media companies, the Liberals accused him of NOT being Fair and Balanced.

Since then Fox News has taken a turn to the left with their increased coverage of Liberal Democrats. When watching the Britt Hume News show he almost always starts with Democrat news of the day. During news updates through- out the day the lead is a Kerry attack on President Bush or some other Liberal quote. THIS IS NOT FAIR AND BALANCED.

All of the liberal media networks are carrying Kerry's water each and every day with Chris Matthews being the worst of the ilk. It would be helpful for a change to see Fox lead with coverage of Republican news and issues. I am turning away from Fox more and more. How many of you are doing the same.

FREEPERS HELP TURN FOX NEWS BACK TO FAIR AND CONSERVATIVE.

I agree and Brit is the best on all of TV news shows..I love it when he is a commentator on Fox News Sunday.

I love Neal Cavuto's editorials at the end of his show, and I also enjoy John Gibson's viewpoints.

Any number of other commentators on Fox are terrific; Ben Stein, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Charles Krauthammer, I could go on. ;-D

Fair and balanced doesn't mean fair and conservative. But when it really is fair conservatives will always win the argument. When will the other networks stop being biased to the left? Why is every move Fox makes scrutinized? The left can't make it if the fight is fair.

I've emailed FOX telling them I'd like to hear more conservatives give their opinions rather than give more airtime to liberals who already have access to other networks. There's no reason to listen to FOX if I see the same people and listen to the same garbage. I noted the exception with Cavuto. He's been very good. O'Really has his moments.

Someone was suggesting a boycott of some other network shows and I said "Who among us watches them anyway?" I do occasional opposition research but Fox is "home".

You have your head where the sun never shines,

Fox news is crazy -- like a ...well...Fox!

All day I've been watching them lead off with the Kerry crowd's tirade against the POW ad -- as an excuse to then show that devastatingly anti-Kerry ad -- repeatedly -- and as NEWS, not as a paid ad.

They do the same thing very often. I call it the "skeet technique" -- where the Lib news is the clay pigeon, and the conservative response blows it to pieces.

"Pull!".............POW!

It's a beautiful thing to watch!

To be honest..I have to say Fox News isn't what it used to be and have found myself watching very little of it lately. They tend to egg you on by saying...coming up next....etc. and are trying to play games with the "Fox News Alert"...it got old and I'm not staying tuned like I used to. I'm sure this will catch up with them in the ratings and they will come back. But, until then...it's just another source of news...

I thought Fox News was excellent tonight. (Brit Hume's show, except Jim Angle was sitting in for him)

Major Garrett made the comparison of Republican 527's versus the Democratic 527's.

They had a good interview with Guiliani.

Then their panel discussion of the Swiftvet Ads, the NYT story and the Kerry shennanigans was excellent.

I don't get a chance to watch it every night, but I sure wasn't disappointed tonight.

Oh, yes, Major Garrett is excellent, a real asset to Fox. I'm always glad to see him on.

As for Jim Anglin, during the 2000 Gore Florida fiasco, he lightened my day many times, by laughing on the air as he reported the latest democrat idiocy. He's no movie star, but he does have a fine sense of irony that I have enjoyed many times.

"Sorry, I cannot agree. I find Brit Hume, John Gibson, Neal Cavuto, Jim Anglin, and others there, and no where else. I have no problem with Fox News presenting both sides."

I agree. Fox News would not remain #1 in cable news if it was one-sided. Just look at what happened to CNN. FNC needs to present both sides even though I can't stand to watch their liberal guests.

I agree with everyone on your list! John Gibson and Neal Cavuto are my absolute favorites!

Now, if we could just do some adjusting to the morning lineup, things would be even better. First of all, Fox & Friends could use a makeover. Let's replace the two Democrat women (E.D. Hill and Kiran Chetry) with one conservative Republican and one conservative Democrat. E.D. is a "moderate", and Chetry is just plain liberal. Between E.D. making excuses for Kerry and Kiran taking up for Rosie O'Donnell's gay cruise, it is simply too much to take early in the mornings. I like Brian Kilmeade the best of any of the Fox & Friends crew, and Juliet Huddy is my favorite on the weekends. Juliet doesn't take any crap from the liberals!

Your analysis of F & F is excellent. I really like Brian Kilmeade. Occasionally, I can take a little of E.D. Juliet Huddy is tops. ;-D

Most likely.

Kinda like a piece of hard candy saved for a rainy day.

The idea is to spread discourse among conservatives.

What they don't understand is that it is like herding cats. You cannot get us to agree on anything and therefore it never works. But they continue to try.

This sort of stuff works well with liberals, as they are pack animals. We are all individuals.
