ISTANBUL, Turkey Simultaneous explosions hit two small Istanbul (search) hotels in an apparent terrorist attack, killing at least one person and injuring eight others early Tuesday, police said.
Security concerns in Turkey have been heightened since last November, when four homicide truck bombings blamed on Al Qaeda (search) killed more than 60 people in Istanbul.

From the report there was only 1 death, 8 injuries. Terrible, but could've been much worse.
Looks like some people should've let us set up some pre-war air bases, aye?
