I am new, too. I have just recently become interested in politics also.

Welcome! Don't be discouraged that you seemingly live in liberaland, because there are probably more conservatives than you know. Trust me, you are not alone! I live in California, or the "left coast". But if that were really true, how did we elect a Republican governor (or governator, as we like to say), and who were all those people lining the freeways to get a glimpse of President Reagan's hearse, or standing for HOURS to pay their respects?
