Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Morning! I'm briefing some colonels today.Don't sweat it. Many folks believe brains soften once someone gets past O-4.

Heh. I've stopped eating breakfast this week. It just makes me hungry at 10.
Bringing my lunch saves money and means I eat what I fixed the night before, when I was full and diet-motivated. It's working ok so far!
Have to make a list this afternoon and go shopping.

Having more money and less weight sounds good. I use to do that and need to again.

Skipping breakfast? *insert shocked smiley*
I get hungry for a snack by ten thirty or so...but I don't think that's a good reason for skipping a meal.
But...that's just me. I'm a morning person. I can't imagine skipping my main meal!

I know I've come a way...and it really makes me feel good when someone notices. But I can also see how far I have to go.
But by next summer, you 'n me are gonna be South Beach BABES, right? ;-)

Also I don't really like anything low-carb for breakfast, except omelets, and those get old. I eat when I am hungry in the morning, but most mornings I'm nauseated by the idea of food until about 10 or so.

There's an hour and a half I'll never see again.

Heh. You've got to be more aware of your surroundings.
I think I'll check out the school gym this afternoon. Would like to get back to my lifting...

I'm hungry the second I roll out of bed. That's the toughest part of exercising first thing...my FIRST inclination is to run and have breakfast. Now I'm waiting until I first get to work at eight.

There MUST be an Entmoot 2006...
*sigh* Seems like it's been an awfully long time since the first one. I miss everyone.
