Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Lookit her face! The drama!! LOL!
I think Gidget may need some kind of ramp to help her get down from the truck bed from now on, sis. Landing with all that weight on those dainty front paws mighta done it.
I hope it isn't broken. Maybe it's a sprain. Is it swollen at all?
Oh and please be sure to get her a double-cheeseburger on the way home from the vet's office and tell her it's from me. ;-)

And just think how ~cool~ he'll look with one eye!
It doesn't look gross at all. Some vets actually suture the eye opening shut, so he just appears to be perpetually *winking*.

It isn't swollen, but she squeaks when you pinch her toe.
We've been lifting her out of the truck for six months... She limped in June too, but recovered till this week.

Hi sis!
She wouldn't need to get kitty a prosthesis eye, would she? It wouldn't be like a gaping socket, would it?

Thank you Slings and Arrows, I am getting a lot of support for just taking the out. He's an old kitty... in his teens.

Funny, so does Rose... ~grins~

Looked at appreciatively and respectfully, yes. Leered at, no. I recognize the difference.
Though part of me - the part that was 50 pounds heavier 18 months ago - doesn't mind the leers that much. But there's not much of that part left.

She prolly stubbed in on something. Have you tried giving her some aspirin or Tylenol to reduce inflammation?
Makes no difference since you're taking her to the vet tomorrow and he'll give her a nice shot to take care of it anyway.
If it was broken, I'd expect some kind of swelling. Unless it is a tiny crack.

Yeah, I had seen the web page.
In general, two or three out of thirty+. That count includes undergrad students. Last night there was a new grad student orientation; two other ladies. One of whom was obviously not from this country, the other could have been a Swedish import, I don't know because she didn't speak.
My OOP class has maybe five women in a class of at least 40.

You are quite welcome, and best of luck to your kitty. As to the treatment, I'll let freepers with more knowledge than me offer advice.
