Screen beauty Natalie Portman will consider stripping nude on film if she's offered the right part.
The Star Wars actress once vowed never to bare her flesh on screen - but she confesses she's changed her mind and is prepared to consider stripping.
Portman, 23, says, "I wouldn't say 'no, never'.
"I just think that setting limits on yourself is silly because there might be a day when you change your mind."
She also defends her change of heart, "Consistency is way over-rated. It's much better to flow with the times and the context and see how things change and how you feel.
"I wouldn't say I would never do it but I do think it's rare when it's necessary.
"I guess it would be hard to do Last Tango In Paris without nudity. That's a film that you couldn't have made without it, but it's not a film that I would have wanted to be in."

"She's a politician, and they're not to be trusted" |
I was going to write something like that. I've watched her in that damn movie three times now and still pick up neat little character shadings.
Sorry to see her take this route as I think it is a signal that she's desperate.
Judging from recent Academy Awards winners, the best way for an actress to get Hollyweird to take her seriously is to get nekkid.
Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, and Charlez Theron are obvious examples.
Can someone forward this post to Jennifer Love Hewitt? :)
Hey Natalie, a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. You already dipped a toe in the water with that Cold Mountain role, your long, slow slide has begun. Good luck.

Even that, sometimes, can't help. Even Hollywood sometimes, has limits . . . |

On the other hand, Jennifer Connelly seems to have figured this one out all by herself. And I admire her courage (among other things).
That was a really good movie to be as unseen as it appears to have been. Portman was great and her protector and the addicted cop
were also good.
Yet most copies of that movie now have that scene deleted. I would be amazed that anyone still has it.
