Â íåñêîëüêèõ äåðåâíÿõ íà þãå Åãèïòà ïî íåèçâåñòíîé ïðè÷èíå îäíîâðåìåííî ñãîðåëè îêîëî 100 äîìîâ, ñîîáùàåò ÐÈÀ "Íîâîñòè" ñî ññûëêîé íà ìåñòíóþ ïðåññó. Â ðåçóëüòàòå áåç êðîâà îñòàëèñü íåñêîëüêî ñîòåí ìåñòíûõ æèòåëåé, ìíîãèå èç êîòîðûõ ïîëó÷èëè îæîãè.
Ïî óòâåðæäåíèþ ìíîãî÷èñëåííûõ î÷åâèäöåâ, íà êðûøè äîìîâ, íà êîòîðûõ êðåñòüÿíå ñóøàò ïîìåò, èñïîëüçóåìûé â ýòèõ ìåñòàõ â êà÷åñòâå òîïëèâà, ïàäàëè îãíåííûå øàðû, ìîìåíòàëüíî âîñïëàìåíÿâøèå ñòðîåíèÿ.
Ìåñòíûå âëàñòè ïîêà íå ìîãóò îáúÿñíèòü ïðè÷èíû âîçãîðàíèÿ. Ïî îäíîé èç âåðñèé, íà äîìà ïàäàëè ãîëóáè, çàãîðåâøèåñÿ îò ñòîëêíîâåíèÿ ñ ëèíèåé ýëåêòðîïåðåäà÷. Îäíàêî, ïî óòâåðæäåíèþ ìåñòíûõ æèòåëåé, íà ïîæàðèùàõ áûëè îáíàðóæåíû âñåãî íåñêîëüêî îáãîðåâøèõ ïòè÷üèõ òóøåê.
Ïî äðóãîé âåðñèè, ïðè÷èíîé ïîæàðîâ ìîã ñòàòü ìåòåîðèòíûé ïîòîê. Âûñêàçûâàþòñÿ òàêæå ïðåäïîëîæåíèÿ î òîì, â ñãîðåâøèõ äîìàõ èç-çà áîëüøîé íàãðóçêè â ýëåêòðîñåòè ïðîèçîøëè êîðîòêèå çàìûêàíèÿ. Íî ïðîòèâ ýòîé âåðñèè ãîâîðèò òî, ÷òî ìíîãèå èç äîìîâ âîîáùå íå èìåëè ýëåêòðè÷åñòâà.
Ñàìè ïîñòðàäàâøèå ñ÷èòàþò, ÷òî îãîíü íà íèõ íàñëàëè äæèííû, ñëóæèòåëè øàéòàíà (äüÿâîëà).
Ñòîèò îòìåòèòü, ÷òî àíàëîãè÷íîå ïàäåíèå îãíåííûõ øàðîâ íàáëþäàëîñü â ÿíâàðå ýòîãî ãîäà â Èñïàíèè, ãäå ñîòíè æèòåëåé ñåâåðíûõ ïðîâèíöèé ñòàëè ñâèäåòåëÿìè çàãàäî÷íîãî ïðèðîäíîãî ÿâëåíèÿ.
