Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That's right...you take your own bottles in and fill them at a special station...33 cents per gal here. Would be better than what I'm paying now...58 cents but it is spring water.

Rosie, if you took Van-sama and stocked up on things like toilet paper, you'd probably save more than you spend in gas. Wal-mart's cheap.
Walked down to the doc. They said come in at 2 and they'd culture me. Sigh... and I had ibuprofin two hours ago, so no more until lunchtime, at least.
Right now, other than the throat and the feeling that my tonsils are goings to come out every time I sneeze, I'm pretty good. Not too tired, even. And I have a lunchtime treat...

That sounds very cheap, though! Might be worth my looking into.
Though...really I could probably just fill 'em at the house. Dad has GOOD water. I just didn't know if those big things like you'd use on a dispenser would be fillable.

We do have a Wal-Mart not too far away - just not a Super Wal-Mart. So...people keep mentioning things they get at Wal-Mart (especially diet related), but I can't get them here. I DO use it to stock up on things like cleaning supplies and TP and toiletries. Just can't get most food items, mainly.

Should be several within the local area, no? It's a pretty big place!
I wish ours was closer. It's not somewhere I can just stop by on the way home from work - over in NH. But I'm happy to have one just the same!
Littleton, NH is really booming. Next they're gonna get a Home Depot. Of course, there are plenty of people in mourning, 'cause they hate to see all the box stores coming in. I guess it's a mixed bag.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Borders or Barnes & Noble...

There was only one candle. Not sure what that means. They prolly don't do birthdays at the watering hole that often so they don't have too many candles lying around! ;o)

Good morning everyone!
At the beach house before we fixed the water problem there, we had a water service, Culligan, that would deliver water every week and they gave us the dispenser stand to put it on. Might be worth looking in to, those big bottles are heavy for you to be toting around.

Soon as the doc opens, I'll call. Wonder if they'd just give me the med, seeing as my sister came in for the same thing yesterday. I finally broke down last Thursday and went to the Doc cause I had so little energy! I got antibiotics for the sinus infection, and the dang thing is STILL not completely gone! SSQ started feeling crappy over the weekend, called the Doc on Monday and they called in a prescription for him! He didn't even have to go see the Doc!
Hope you get your meds soon. Go home, have some hot tea and go to bed!! That will help you heal quicker!! You need to be in good physical shape to travel to CO!!
