Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heheh, it's too early for you to stress about "the city!" ;)
We could go somewhere besides the waterfront, then I could find us something with parking for sure!

But I always thought he was saying "She was built, and fun to handle, Son..." Ha, that's what I always thought too!
That's what I thought it said too.

Pike Place Market is walking distance -- we know a couple of cafes there, one of them, Cafe Campagne, we've eaten at (not to be confused with its pricier brother just upstairs). The cafe has the world's greatest garlic mashed potatoes.

~is already stressing out about "the city"!~
I am ridin' with Scott, I really shouldn't worry!
I think pick any spot easy for us to find, and Ramius to find from Bellevue, because we'll end up driving to the concert anyhow.

That sounds good! See, I told you I wasn't very good at picking out restaurants!
There's also Cutters, which is just down the block from the market and has a nice view.

The Market is no more than 3 blocks, Cafe Campagne is about 1 block into the market. I'll mapquest it and see for sure. No hills except the 1/2 block from 1st down to the cafe.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
LOL!! I ~love~ that song. But White Lightning will always have a special place in my heart.

See, you know what I mean! They'll say it's only three blocks, and forget to mention the 45 degree incline.
