Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, she was real happy about that. And they hit it off well. Sister-like.
I dunno if you knew or not but once when I had driven her up to KC to see her grandparents her brother came by the house. When he found out Myranda was inside he refused to even come in. I think she was about 10 then. Very sad.

Hey. I gotta celebrate whatever I can get. It will not be a problem for me to stop by Dicorte's before 9. That is a reason to celebrate.

Yeah, me too. I hope they've had more chances to visit yesterday and today. I'd like for her to finally find those bonds that she missed all these years.
I still wish I had the answer to why they never answered her letters or responded to her attempts at contact.

Well, I'm back from the 20%-off curriculum sale..
I am mentally exhausted and it's not over yet...I ordered a bunch of stuff and got it for the sale price (paid up front), but now I have to hope they got my order correct...
I purchased 4 items yesterday and five today and ORDERED ten items that they didn't have but would get for me.
And get this...my goal was $300 for their curriculum this year (I usually pay about $200 for just Matthew, but Joshua starts Kindergarten this year.) What I got yesterday cost $60.89. I paid $227.55 today for a total of $288.44!!
The lady at the sale told me this day was bigger than their entire Christmas season (Mardels is a Christian bookstore) and that they prepare for it for months. The place was packed.
