Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good snag!
Yeah, I'm hoping to be better tomorrow. We're supposed to have a going-away party for me, with some friends who'll be out of town when I'm actually gone.

well...my job is somewhat seasonal, so summer is my slow time. I think I can take it sorta easy the rest of this week, but I'll need to get cracking next week.
To: libarian
Well, here's hoping that some of that "take it easy" flows my way today. So far this week, I've ran at least 15 payrolls a day, but today I have only one scheduled.
I've got a couple of things I should do right about now, but they aren't urgent. Time for a ciggie break....see you later!

To: RMDupree
All 1's Ruthy...busy day here today (heh, heh, heh). Gotta run to work...then run away from work to pick up Hair and ecurbh for the concert...then run to Market to meet Penny and Ramius, chow, and then run to the concert.
Sigh...rough life of the concert goer.
There, did I get that rubbed-in enough?
To: 2Jedismom
Somebody needs to spray me with a hose... I wouldn't dream of it...
Good morning!

It's a good thing germs don't spread across the internet, concert-snob.
Give us a report of how it goes!

I can't really speak because my throat's so sore.Jen, You might not like this. Take a glass, put some whiskey in, add an equal amount of lemon juice then about half as much honey as you put in whiskey, stir it up and drink.
Seein' as how you might not be used to drinkin' and are calling the school you may not want to use much. But, you could always drink just enough to talk and have the rest after the call.

To: Wneighbor
Um, we don't have whiskey. Just wine, and maybe some vodka that Mom uses for mixed drinks. And I've regained some of my voice, anyway. But I'll definitely keep that in mind if the pain reliever wears off. Thanks.
