NEW YORK If Debra Lafave is convicted of sexual misconduct and lewd exhibition, the middle school teacher will be part of a frightening trend: A report to Congress Wednesday found that one in every 10 school-age kids endures sexual misconduct by a teacher or other school employee.
Lafave is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student at least five times at her home, at school and in the back of her SUV.
The student identified butterfly and Chinese letter tattoos on Lafave's body for investigators.
The 23-year-old reading specialist at Greco Middle School near Ocala, Fla., turned herself into authorities Monday, accompanied by her attorney.

Usually, when one turns oneself into "authorities", just like that, some sort of coup-d-etat is involved. I await details.
Choice of alcohol is a good indicator. Any girl who sits at a bar alone and drinks straight hard liquor is probably a handful.
Believe me, I've had plenty of insight into it in my lifetime. And I have enough life experience to know that all men are NOT alike. Some actually don't look at women as a piece of meat, to grade during the end of a night out in a bar. The ones who do, are the ones we smart woman are laughing at.
Sadly, the good ones are few and far between these days....:) And yes, the same probably goes for good women.

What's scary is I dated a girl that looked like that once, her name was Nicole.
And she was so sweet, until everyone else was away.
THEN she had this predatary side to her, which wasn't so bad considering.

Good for you! Both of our daughters are grown now but we would feel the same way with them AND our son had he been in this same situation. There is a difference in having sex with someone close to your age and someone older who is supposed to know better. Just because she is "only" 23 doesn't cut it. If she doesn't have the brains to know she's not supposed to have sex with a CHILD then she deserves a jail sentence. I hope that if she does get a playboy offer that his parents sue HER so she can pay for it. But they usually end up sueing the school,

Yeah, well that's a whole different ballgame, a woman who is smart, yet somewhat gullible and trusting. Unfortunately I have been known to fit into that category. On the upside, with age comes cynicism, which kind of cancels out the trust aspect.
