"I think 15 minutes is good, although a real icy cold death is 1/2 to 1 hour..."
It takes time for a dead thread to age to just the right flavor.

I dye my hair. Does that mean my RL personna differs in hair color from my real self? What's real, the appearance or the genetics?

LOL!
I do have to admit that there ARE Ph.D types here on FR that do have a sense of humor, but the unfortunate part is that they seem to be a minority group within the doctorate world.

If you knew about these kolaches from New Braunsfels, you'd be impressed. It would probably be more impressive if I knew what the heck "kolaches" were...

So that's why you've been perfecting the Lurker 2005 cloak. . . I know we're all a little bit quirky, but it just gets vey weird when the two of you are both here.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

What's real, the appearance or the genetics?Duhhhh... I think I know better than to try answering that question.

A stone dirt sleep pall came over the DD trhead for over 12 hours once before I reawakened that thread from it's unholy slumber.
But a good cold thread death is 1/2 an hour to one hour, agreed.

over 12 hours onceWow! I think the longest the HH has been dead (that wasn't overnight) has been 2-3 hours.

The heat generated by the Chad Effect's dropping things and people through semi-random tears in the time space fabric is jettisoned out one way portals around thermal heat sink terminus in the Louis effect.
(This also explains Spontaneous Combustion, hence the rule that no time or teleportation travler take anything with him beyond what he went into the rift with. Too many of the natural heat sinks burst into flames when frat parties fell through the rifts and appeared on beaches in togas and babbling aphasia.)

LOL!
But it's a natural weird perfected over many years of watching cartoons, like Starblazers, and reading too many Sci-Fi novels and magazines like Azimov's.

Most of the DD's regulars were either asleep, suspended, on vacation, or sick that time.

I've got a sense of humor. It's dry, bitter, sarcastic and obnoxious, but it's there. And I'm about to start my grad studies. I'll volunteer to serve as a test subject for your theory that Ph.D types lose their sense of humor. Every six months or so, you can check and make sure I've still got mine...
