The Hobbit Hole will be Represented in person by 2Jedismom, Bear in Rosebear, Rose in RoseBear, Overtaxed, Penny1, RMDupree, Scott from the Left Coast, Wneighbor and Ramius (brother of the bride)
Thank you all for coming! And for everyone watching and participating from home via that camera, we hope you can enjoy the day ~almost~ as much as being there!
Systems analysts listen to the problem and then bring back a solution that makes everyone mad, of course!
Yes, your steak has been eaten!... I had it yesterday!
It's 11:30 here and I've got to get to bed.
Good night Hobbit Hole!
Glad to hear it. Nighty night and I know you'll like the movie!
Yep, Dads are very important, us good ones anyway. ;-)
My Dad wasn't a bad father. But he was absent from a lot of my growing up because of his alcoholism. I mean, he was in the home, but never really there.
I made a commitment a long time ago to try to do better than that for my boys. I screw a lot of stuff up but they ain't gettin' rid of me.
Sometimes Dads are jerks tho. And sometimes they just go away.
Right now Ruthy's girls don't realize how special their mom is to be taking on both roles. One day they will.
You'll be home before Mrs. Stormhands! (she gets back Monday).
Have a safe and fun trip.
Yep, Dr. Laura calls it child abuse. We agree.
We had to feed Luke every two hours when he first came home. Then after he ate, we had to hold him upright for 30 minutes because of the reflux. He got his medicine between feedings.
So we spent the first year of his life basically taking turns holding him. "Growing Kids God's Way" woulda killed him.
Mm, yes, Ruthy's kids are in very good hands. They're not going to end up as statistics!
Sometimes I wonder where I'd be without my dad. It could have happened that way, he could have walked away but he didn't. All the time growing up people would say I was just like my father. Now I see what a compliment that was. I'm blessed to have two parents who are interested in seeing me well on my way. I've finally figured out how to spend time with my mother. And so, of course, I'm moving across the country.
Nite Ruthy!

Kinda like Mycroft :)
If somebody's happy with your solution, it's the wrong solution!
That was the second-youngest boy here... same problems as Luke, though less severe.
It's not just child abuse, wouldn't it really hurt a nursing mother to not nurse for such long periods of time?
That program's about as kooky as the "Bible-based vegetarian diet" I read about last week.
Absolutely! In that case, Installshield must be a wonderful tool. Ever had to fight that program? Ugh, someone ought to come up with a better. It hates me, I spend hours every week wrestling it into submission.
I love CS, it's this low-level stuff I hate. Test plans are the spawn of the devil, installs are horrible, finding out where the bloody database got loaded when all you've got is a command prompt and some rusty SQL...
Yeah, that one's pretty much discredited starting with Cain and Abel...
If Jesus ate meat, that's good enough for me.
G'night! It's late and I work tomorrow. Izzit August yet?
g'nite
August? I'd settle for 2:30 a.m. I should be home with Jr. by then...
And that's not saying much ...
The problems I've had with Installshield can all be traced back to the lack of decent documentation. In fact, most of the problems I've had with stuff like Installshield have been cured by third-party documentation.
Maybe what we need to teach programmers is how to write ...?
<laughing!>
