One can never be too careful. It's probably not far as the bat flies.

The Suitcase of Doom has been found...it was in the most unlikely of places...the airport.

:-)

They delivered it to my mom's home while I went to Walmart.

Now I can really rest. Nothing more to do for the rest of the day.

I think Slovakia is more werewolves than vampires--might want to review Dr. Snape's notes. . .

I am afraid there is bad news...

The strap you let me borrow is missing from the suitcase...actually the entire latch is broken off. In hind sight, I shoulda disconnected it and put it in, but I didn't think...

I'm going to rummage through it and see if maybe they stuck it down in there...I just don't have the strength to do that yet...I'm absolutely wore out.

Later folks. Sister-in-law that had Luke and Nana just dropped 'em off and went back to North Carolina (she's leaving to go to a wedding in Ohio tomorrow).

I gotta go figger out dinner...

Hey, I got this nifty stuff from Walmart...liquid bandage. Not the old-timey liquid bandage that was just put on this earth to inflict agony on poor souls already suffering...

No, this stuff is great! It's called 3M Nexcare...I just put a thin line of the stuff on my cut thumb and it seriesly fused it together and formed what feels like a callous over the top! No stinging at all. Amazing stuff!

Cool! I used to use a liquid bandage which did sting some, though I got used to it.

This is much better (and costs more), and it forms a thick plastic-like coating.

Reminds me of superglue.

As a matter of fact, I think that's what it is.

Anyway, I have a fully functional thumb now, whereas before if I took the bandaid off the flap of skin caught on things.

Not if we hold true to each other.

...You may tarry, or come back, or turn aside into other paths, as chance allows. The further you go, the less easy will it be to withdraw; yet no oath or bond is laid on you to go further than you will...

"Anyway, I have a fully functional thumb now"

Well, I'm glad you have a thumb now, LOL! :) I know what you mean. I used to use that stuff when I got cracks on my knuckles from dry skin, and the irritating part was it would never heal up because every time I bend my knuckle it'd crack again. That stuff helped me a lot healing from that.

I am glad they found your bag!

I am just zonked tired! WN is napping. I think we may sleep for a whole day once all the visitors are gone, and then go on a little trip. Thinking of driving all the way around Mount Rainier. There are some pretty passes on that route, and it'd be a nice easy overnight trip.

Mmmmm... breakfast burritos!

Yep, they were good! And now that I know I can easily make whole wheat tortillas at home on the cheap, I'll be having them often!

I dunno how kosher it is, but I've known musicians to use superglue to repair cuts on fingers in a hurry, or deal with a ripped off callous. Works pretty well! I imagine this is a better and more sterile version of the same idea.

But I'm making black bean chili for dinner, so I guess I'm not exactly SUFFERING here...
