                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

                  | I Would My Lord

I would take my Lordin the morning of your youth
in the noon of your hunger
in the eve of your desire
in the midnight of your madness

 I would take my Lord
 on mountain tops
 winding roads
 the steppes of the plains

 I would take my Lord
to the stairway of the stars

 I would love you
in the Spring of your youth
in the Summer of your bloom
in the Fall of your life
in the Winter of your discontent

Oh I would take my Lord
 through the wanting
 through the longing
 to the final frontier ....
 our star in Scorpio
 there to be one....My Lord
 I would take you.

The Knight repairs to the tower,
wounded, scarred, but not unbowed,
Storm-wracked field awash and blowing,
Spirits soaked, but never cowed,

And in this place of quiet rest,
candle flickering in the night,
the Lady leaves her message of longing,
can you see His eyes shining bright?

In this place, so far from home,
newly-scarred face that frames the eye,
He reminds his Lady, distance is as nothing,
never farewell, and never goodbye,

But can only in part silence, and never still
the voice of music and verse that sings,
caring and coming from faraway lands,
for Yours, comfort and love it brings.

Fair Knight whose song
is sorely missed at eve's time
when the Poet's Dance is rhyme
Cloaked in armor laden from weary
battles of honor and winds of war
rest thy tired bones in chambers
 of soft velvet cloth
and sup with me on this night's
 reprieve from the fight
 gather thy lonely beaten breast
 near to thy maidens chest
assuage to this valiant knight of war
a kind word we do implore
and no more talk of war
but lavender lace fields of clover
 a genteel moment of respite
 please...

 Candle light burns low
 in secret chambers
 love's song
 star filled flights
 dreams of castles grand
 and peace throughout the land
 where chivalry is still grand

I do so long to see a time
of quiet solitude,
A time of silence, wuthering winds,
a night of sweet etude,
The cries of battle, clangor of wars,
would not intrude this place,
the only sounds and sights would be
my lady's sighs and face.

The Dance goes on, here in these halls,
secure from fire and storm,
where the only arms are not of war,
but of lovers, safe and warm,
the clarion sounds upon the field,
the footfalls loud with dread,
but the soft padding of the Posts' Dance
is what I hear instead.

I wait then for thee
in the quiet of the hour
when all that is heard is soft breathing
 on the half hour -
 the night flower blooms
sends her sweet aroma round the room
solitude is the drink in which we imbibe
 gazing into each other's eyes

In my lover's warm, strong arms
I behold the miracle of honor,
 trust, adoration, and valor
and the soft swish of Velvet
 moving over a bodice

 And so dear White Knight
 the bell tolls late
 the guard at the gate
 doth await the rising moon
 and the trumpet's blare
 the night hounds run
 but in silence we hold
 our sacred vow
 Forever is ours.
To: Old Sarge
You are sounding weary. A few more days to go and then hopefully you can rest, soldier! HUGS!!
