~The Dragon Flies' Lair~Thread XIII~
June 13, 2004 | bentfeather and Poets of The Lair

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning, Lair! A frantic week here - I hope yours has been kinder to you. Long weekend ahead!

Buried Love
Sarah Teasdale

I have come to bury Love
Beneath a tree,
In the forest tall and black
Where none can see.

I shall put no flowers at his head,
Nor stone at his feet,
For the mouth I loved so much
Was bittersweet.

I shall go no more to his grave,
For the woods are cold.
I shall gather as much of joy
As my hands can hold.

I shall stay all day in the sun
Where the wide winds blow, --
But oh, I shall cry at night
When none will know.

Morning, dear Colonel, you know, of course, I'm weeping.

How beautiful and sad.

Have a good weekend, do you have plans?

I'm going golfing tomorrow and I plan to have a little aggression therapy while I do. This has been a truly traumatic week for me at work and I'd just like to get away for awhile.

Seem to be a lot of that going around last week. Take the time off, enjoy and try to relax. Happy a happy Fourth, Colonel.

At least know this, you are never alone in your misery. LOL. Even though it may seem that way. Now start taking better care of yourself!

Thank you, Sam .. we're talking budgets and jobs now at my place of work and I'm hoping I'm not on the short end of the list.

I'll say a prayer you're not on the list.

I sing my songs tho
no Ballads they...

I sing of Love
throughout the day...

I sing of Love's truth
be told...

I sing of Love
Brave and Bold...

My Song Rings
the heavens twinkling nights...
Of lonely hearts in their plight...
of Desire and Warmth
of the Shadow of His Smile...

I sing of the Love
for the while...
