Birthday?
Happy Birthday!
There's no such thing as trite. I can prove it.
Word Weary
There are words that do not wear their meanings well,
The thoughts grown weary and much travelled.
Shuttled here and sent off there, and not a day of rest,
Its clear that one day soon they will become unravelled.
When that day comes, how will we say, I love you
With words that really mean it? Instead of platitudes,
Existing on the edge of hope, unwelcome blatherings,
The dust-dry trudging syllables, with bone-weary attitudes.
And who will then say Thank you, and make it worth the spit?
Youre welcome to deflect the sound, and make a naught of it?
I would say,
I am the world that the Sun you are illuminates!
You are my Morning, and my Day! My dawning waits,
For your presence, and your departure is the Twilight of my soul!
Such that the welcome sight of you becomes my only goal.
I would say,
You are the dew upon the fading flower,
That brings it one more day to life. Without your presence,
Hope would fade away, and all would wither in an hour,
You come with timeliness, and fill the world with pleasance.
I would say,
Nothing I can do will ever hope to pay,
The worth of all the wonders that you bring.
My spirits surging upward like laughters bubbling spray,
In the heart-embracing gladness of an endless blessed spring.
Even so, there is a problem, though my words are fresh and new.
No one seems to understand what meaning to give to,
The phrase that stands for loving, as opposed to gratitude,
Appreciation also seems to be a series thats unclued.
Because all of these things mean the same, we could exchange the lot.
So lets examine what we have, theres something Ive forgot.
Youre welcome means I love you and Thank You means it too.
We did forget the meanings, and we need to make them new.
When someone says Youre Welcome theyre saying I love you.
And when you answer back with Thank You you can say I love you too
Its not the least confusing since weve figured out the code.
I will take my leave in silence now that understandings been bestowed.

AWESOME Bob!! :o) Thanks for sharing!!
I HAVE to load this song up soon - it's by Alan Jackson and I can't get the words out of my head tonight...
When your heart is all alone every second
Seems so long
When its just you, you cant see through
Those ol clouds that rain so blue
But when somebody loves you
Theres nothing you cant do
When somebody loves you
Its easy to get through
When somebody loves you
The way I love you
When its late, the sun hangs low
By yourself, nowhere to go
Sing a song, you dance alone
Play solitaire and stare at the phone
But when somebody loves you
Theres nothing you cant do
When somebody loves you
Its easy to get through
When somebody loves you
The way I love you
So lets put aside our foolish pride
And let our hearts say hello
We both agree were just no good
At bein on our own
cause when somebody loves you
Theres nothing you cant do
When somebody loves you
Its easy to get through
When somebody loves you
The way I love you
The way I love you
The way I love you
Thank You Bob. Very nice. :-)
Wow talk about romatic poetry. Just beautiful. Thank You Star. Would love to hear the music.
I'll do it - will you be here for a while??
Yes, I be around. Thanks.
Lovely Star, thank you.
I knew you'd like it!! :o)
Good one NicknamedBob.
Ok,So how did you spend your special day? My plans sorta got waylaid.
:-( Me too.
How did your brother's surgery go?
Do you guys ever go to sleep or to work? :^)
Nope. We're 24 hour posting machines. LOL. But we are tired most of the time.
So, what are you doing up so late?
Work is a four letter word!
Hey wait a minute... The Foxhole is work, sure we love it but it is work. As for sleep, who needs more than 3 hours anyway.
Wonderful day thanks!!
I was busy yesterday. Phone calls, door bells ringing, kids coming, grandkids calling, my brother stopped by. My Swedish friend sent me flowers.
My eldest daughter, her hubby and #1 grandson took me to dinner at Chilies.
I have not heard anything about the brother in MO. Sure hope I hear something today. If all went well, he should be coming home. I called my niece last night, but no one was in at the time. I left a message, but did not get a call back.
Thank you snippy for the lovely graphic, I have it saved. So thoughtful of you. Sorry about your computer problems but sounds like you and Sam have gotten rid of the nasty virus. I would not know how to begin solving a problem like that.
