If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

    Hi,feathers :)

I had work to do but I took it at a pretty good pace. I'm taking it very easy tonight but I'm determined to spend some time online with my friends before I hit the sack. Been away too long. =\

Well, we sure have missed you, but totally understand your need to rest as much as you can.
That was a real good Anita tune wasn't it?? I love her, too..

Pretty much anything Anita Baker records is wonderful. When the meds kick in and I heal up, you'll be able to get sick of me all over again ;)

    Inspiration well is dry
my feet are bound
they cannot fly
Love has no song
to sing to me

a broken dream is
haunting me
elusive love has left
me bare with a trace of you
across my heart
your face is there
always near
unreachable always dear
A dark song sings of misery
of long dark nights
of dark days of pain
and always will your face
remain upon my heart

I have not
forgotten
you

    A shadow of myself
Flops and flutters in the breeze
I watch it, mesmerized
Unable to reclaim what I am.

I see the wind dance
And carry myself away
It laughs, it mocks
This wind more powerful than me.

Though love's seraph choir
Is overpowered by the wind
Hope remains for me
You have not forgotten.

I watch as the cold wind
Carries myself away
A memory now takes its place
My shadow, your thoughts for me

I will always
remember
you

I've only seen them once (I'm not that old!). Once while looking for property way out in the country there was one right before a bridge but the creek was up and the bridge covered by water making it impassable.

Like The Waves From The Shore

 I must now ebb
 The time has come
 to sail my oceans

 Rolling away from you
like the waves from the shore
rippling out to the vastness of the sea
that beckons my ship of folly
 I'll not ask you
 to stand the night vigil
 on the shoreline
 of memory

 You are here
on the beaches of my memory
even though I drift the tides

 If you should look
 into a starlit night
and see a reflection of me
 know only that
 I will one day
 come crashing again
 to the shore
 swept homeward
 by the pull
 of the tide
 and
 you
