Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

they rock the whole building ... and the parking lot, too!

LOL! I know what you mean! We had a Church of God across he street from my house when I was growing up.

When SSQ and I were in NJ, we were involved with a Catholic Charismatic group. Those Masses would raise the roof of the high school gym in which we celebrated! Yowsers, what a joyful noise!

I have two possible shades: "Artic Pale" suitable for Vikings, Germans and Swedes that never go outdoors, or dead people. The other is "Lobster Red", suitable for Souix Indians, Navajos, skinless chicken left in the microwave just a little too long, and Norwegians that venture for more than thirteen minutes into sunshine. :-)

When I lived in a place that wasn't hot enough to melt me into a puddle of goo and fur I would get tan all over...

Heh, David will arrive in August for grad school. He decided on Austin because he wanted to go to someplace that was warm in the winter. Little does he know... ;o)

He's looking at some apartment complexes to live in for a year. Do you know anything about The Legacy or Cameron Greens apartments? While he's there the first year, he's gonna get some idea of decent neighborhoods because we're thinking of buying a house for him to live in since he's gonna be there for another 5 yrs. or so. Be better than tossing the rent money down a black hole.

Well, mostly. Certain parts had to be kept hidden from the mosquitoes.
