New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
yams are good. but, i don't like 'em candied.
*right scratch* *right scratch* *right scratch*

Oh, hey, was he any relation to Frankie Bag-o-donuts? He used to play center for the Packers.
But then, I should talk, I was walking along the Capitol Campus one day when one got me right on top of the head. I was at work, and with my thick, curly hair had to wash it pretty thoroughly in the sink in the loo.
I know this will sound strange. But, Myranda now has a 2nd job. It's workin' at this mall kiosk where they sell skin care stuff. They do product demos there and when I was visiting there her boss made sure I got a demo of everything. One of the demos was this hand softening stuff. I gotta tell ya - I loved it. My hands have never in my life felt that soft.
Bad thing is, I have had callouses on my hands from motorcycle riding. Ya know, when you have callouses, they are there for a reason. So, if they go away - then something's gonna blister and hurt again. Well, the next day and for the 2 or 3 days after that little hand softening demo thing those callouses literally *fell* off my hands. Freakin' weird it was!
And now, I've got to build those callouses again! I loved the hand softening stuff.... but, I got to have those callouses for riding!
Okay, goodnight all!
When David was about 9, he decided that it was dorky to wear helmets, and got angry with me when I told him, "No helmet, no bike" He said that the boys up the street didn't wear helmets so why should he. I told him that if their Mama wants to pay for their care for the rest of their lives when they become vegetables after having a head injury from NOT wearing a helmet, that was fine with me, but I didn't plan to do that.
He stomped out and put his helmet on and got on the bike. About 15 minutes later he came running in breathless recounting how he'd hit some gravel and fallen over, but since he had his helmet on, he didn't get hurt when his head grazed the street.
He never complained about the helmet again. ;o)
I think Breyer's has a Splenda sweetened ice cream. I know I've gotten one or two different brands. I think Turkey Hill might have some too.
*Shudder* Made me think of the music from Hitchcock's Psycho!
Especially when he sang "Frodo of the Nine Fingers, and the Ring of DooooOOOOOOOOMMMM!"
I went ahead and bought it when I bought ROTK. I knew it was a movie I'd want to see again and again!

Do you know the trick about putting a few drops of alcohol in each of his ears when he gets out of the pool. Don't know why it works, but it does!
Are you series? Does your neighborhood group give that award?
DANG! That is just SO cute!!
