Well, today, at 7:11 AM Eastern Daylight time, I turn 18,263 days old.
I guess I shouldn't complain.
People still tell me I don't look a day over 14,751!

Famous people who came into the world on May 12th:
George Carlin
Katharine Hepburn
Florence Nightingale
Henry Cabot Lodge
Yogi Berra
Steve Winwood
A whole bunch of Freepers!
May 12th in history:
May 12th has been a pretty calm spring day.
In 1937, George the Sixth was coronated in England, after his brother Edward abdicated the throne to marry the tramp. George is the Father of the current queen Elizabeth and the grandfather of Prince Charles.
In 1908 the very first patent was granted to Nathan Stubblefield for wireless voice transmission. It was later called radio.
In 1940, Germany invaded France.
In 1980, the first hot air balloon flight across the United States was finished.
Taurus:
sign of the Bull
Earth sign
Gem: Emerald
Ruling planet: Venus
Color: Pink
Taureans are set in their ways, often called stubborn. They are hard workers, and highly practical. Affectionate, romantic, and artistic, they can be jealous and possesive. It has been said that Taureans like luxury and glitz, but most of all they desire comfort, stability, and predictability. If you offer a Bull a new BMW or a good cord of wood, don't be surprised if he takes the wood! Don't anger a Taurus. He will remain calm for the longest time, but if he strikes back, it will be with tremendous power and fury.
Pop quiz: (no cheating!)
What day of the year has the most people born on it?
(hint: many animals gestate overwinter and bear their young in the spring. Humans do not follow this pattern)
What day of the year has the fewest people born on it?
(not a trick question, but it does have a trick answer)
Personal trivia:
My great-great-great-great-great grandfather was also born under the Bull, in a small town in the Katskall mts near the Hudson river, May 7, 1761. We think he was the grandson of a Dutch Palantine immigrant who arrived in 1730.
I like to tinker. When I was about ten, I took apart and reassembled an old wind up Timex watch. When I got done, it still kept time!
just not very good time...
About five nights a week, I fly in my dreams, a phenomenon that started when I was about 25. While this is not rare, it is not as common as I thought, with less than 50% of the population ever flying. The psych websites say that makes me either quite creative, or sorta psychotic.
Favorite foods: STEAK!!, Campbells Chicken-Rice soup, tomatoes, any type of taters.
So if you were born May 12th, FESS UP!, you don't have to tell us the century! Tell us your likes and dislikes, any interesting things you know happened on May 12th, whether or not you feel like you have a lot of bull in you. Don't be shy, you're probably far younger than I, today, this day, May the twelfth, 2004, as I start the first day of my sixth decade on planet Earth.
Happy Birthday, May 12th'rs!!!
It's always interesting to find out what you have in common with others. Perhaps other Freepers will want to continue this style of thread in the days to come.

Thanks! Most of me still works, except I usually don't work at all on my birthday! So I'm gonna wander in a little later. Still no answers to my pop quiz... I'm surprised, cause Freepers usually love challenges like that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
October 5th - most common Anybirthday.com
February 29th seems like the least common to me...
To: Alamo-Girl
AG,
Thanks! Actually, Feb 29th is correct, but ya gotta think about it. I have never seen the actual stats, but the Oct 5th date you quote is very, very close to what I heard - but not the answer I heard. What's the deal with Oct? I guess since people don't have to mow the lawn in February...

LOLOLOL! I thought it was Valentine's Day. Seriously, I had no idea what the most common birthday was, but since you asked and I love to research ... that is what I found.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
To: Alamo-Girl
Cripes! You're right, Valentines Day! The day I heard was Oct 7.
My first senior moment!
