Of course, I find Suzi's funkles downright useful to get caught up myself. I ought to do my own work, though...
LOL!!! I do too!
I'm OFF! Celeste got a table at a used curriculum fair tonight and I have some things for her to sell for me...see you later!
I'm glad I'm useful for sumthin!
The kids and I just finished 4 and 1/2 hours in the back yard mapping the terrain. SSQ wants to do the figgerin beforehand about how much dirt will be dug us for the new basement, and exactly where else in the back yard that dirt will eventually go!
We had a transit, a laser level, and a laser distance finder. We did roughly 8' squares, and there were something like 72 of them. We had to determine the height, relative to the foundation wall at the back corner of the house, at each point, and we'll compare that to the floor level of the existing house. Fortunately, the ground level at the back of the house is almost 4 feet below the floor level right now, so we only have to dig down 7 feet at the most in that spot to get to below the level of the new concrete floor in the basement. Down at the back, we'll only have to dig about 3 feet down since the ground slopes down so much there.
