The man had been being chased since 3 o clock this morning! He drove his car onto the grass and rolled it three times! They then showed his body going through the windshield and thrown out onto the grass! This is one of the most shocking things I've seen on LIVE TV ever!

I've seen people survive worse than this. But he did look bad.

Maybe he was just knocked out? I didn't think it was so gruesome, but I wonder why he decided to leave the road. I know the police cars were closing in. This is going to make the police back off next time?? Or maybe some other chasee will think twice?

I think I just saw a man commit suicide by car, and I am really rattled.
To: ConservativeMan55
Did they say he was dead?

Was Shepard Smith covering it? Sounds like it's right up his alley.

Is this the guy in Houston they've been chasing this morning? He was in a truck, but it looked like he was wearing a seat-belt. Hey his family should sue, they could get a huge settlement. Here in Alabama A drunk rolled his Chevy and was thrown through the windshield. BUT in the accident the door flew open too. He sued Chevy over the DOOR LATCH failing (Remember he exited vie windshield) and was awarded $50,000,000 by an idiot jury here.
Good news, the verdict was immediately overturned and thrown out on appeal.

I don't think he's dead.
I dont think they were driving that fast.. and it looked like it rolled over slowly..
He's probably alive and we get to pay for a life-flight trip, a new spleen, and 5 years in prison.

Asman said that the police said they thought he missed a grid they threw down to stop him. Maybe he didn't miss it. That could have made him lose control.

I taped it. Can't tell if he was thrown THRU the windshield or came out of the passenger side door/window.
He DROVE his truck off the highway onto the grass, hit some bumps, and the truck rolled over. He was ejected. We saw that. Last shot was a zoom in on his body stretched out by the overturned truck.
They cut away right after that.

I saw the previous commentary about the chase here on FR and went to the TV and saw it happen within about two minutes of watching. FR is great.
My opinion is it was suicide. The first glimpse I saw showed the driver wearing a seat belt, then it looked like a deliberate course change off the road. He probably took off his seat belt just before going off the road, enabling him to eject from the vehicle like that.

Just because there isn't much blood doesn't mean the body wasn't smashed. It just means the heart wasn't pumping anymore or the body wasn't positioned in a way where it could flow out (like if the aorta were torn).

I did a frame by frame on my DVR. His left arm was missing and no sign of a head. I would say he's dead.

I had the TV on, had stopped looking while I was doing some work, then I heard them say "Uh oh" and I looked up---guy speeded way the hell up, left the road, drove over a hill, across another road, hit the ditch on the other side and that was all she wrote. I didn't realize that was his body flying out until they zoomed in.
If he isn't dead, he broke lots and lots of things.
I think he meant to do it.
