Franken Flop-Sweat ringing the register... Frantic Network Execs: "We're going to do whatever it takes to stay on the air"

Loshondra Johnson of Jamaica Plains, inspects one of the vials of Al Franken's Flop-Sweat before packaging and shipping the vial off to to the top-bidder in one of several auctions held by the flagging Air-anti-America Network.

We aren't sure if it's fans, or collectors of odd memorabilia, but folks are shelling out as much as $30 a pop for approximately 2 fluid ounces of "Flop-Sweat", mopped from Al Franken's brow during taping of the O'Franken Factor on the failing Air-America Network. The idea came about as staffers were passing out so many towels to Franken, thatthey had to start wringing them out into a small bucket. By the end of the first showFranken looked into the bucket and reportedly asked if anyone thought the stuff wouldsell on EBAY, one thing lead to another and they were bottling up the Flop-Sweatand labeling it, "AL FRANKEN'S FLOP SWEAT" and auctioning it on various sites. The show is clinging to very thin hopes of staying on the air, with massivefinancial problems and poor maanagement, they were effectively finishedbefore they even started said one industry insider. At $30 a pop, it looks like the Flop-Sweat may be able to sustain the showas a revenue producer, if you do the math...Since sweat is a bodily fluid there are no doubt regulatory restrictions, such aslabeling considerations and hazardous waste warnings. "That adds to the over-allValue of the product." quipped one snarky Franken employee.

Yeap. Not his media thats for sure. By my count the have now lost 33% of their affiliates. Unless the court injunction works.

It did work in Chicago.

Of course "affiliates" is a rather inaccurate term, given that the stations simply sell all their air time as if it were one long commercial. The Chicago station, for example, is not even able to reach the entire city, and it's AM for goodness sake.
