                  | My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Glad you liked it - I'm just a softie at heart.
 Here's a song for you..
Oh, What It Seemed To Be
Frank Sinatra

It was just a neighborhood dance
 That's all that it was
But, oh, what it seemed to be
It was like a masquerade ball
 With costumes and all
'Cause you were at the dance with me

It was just a ride on a train
 That's all that it was
But, oh, what it seemed to be
It was like a trip to the stars
 To Venus and Mars
'Cause you were on the train with me

And when I kissed you, darling
It was more than just a thrill for me
 It was the promise, darling
Of the things that fate had willed for me

It was just a wedding in June
 That's all that it was
But, oh, what it seemed to be
It was like a royal affair
 With everyone there
'Cause you said "Yes, I do" to me

Got to hear steam locomotives while stationed in Germany. A sound I'll always remember.

    Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow,
A poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot,
Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Yes, especially when a mirror says I'm not there, and I know that to not be true.
Kinda horrible when a mirror at first gives you a test pattern, and then comes back with a "be back in 5 minutes" sign..
(Wonder how many things this will inspire..)

  Walking the beach alone
is an old pastime of mine.
Surf and sand, along a strand of land
the booms of waters a beating heart.

The waves gave rhythm to my own,
tremulous heartbeat,
fluttering and murmurring alone,
solitude was all.

It's not so bad, anymore today,
with another's heart along the morning stroll,
a new and different heartbeat
the metronome for my own.

Now, in day or dark,
sun or starry night
I no longer walk alone
but in time with you.
