My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Been doing so.

Night Poem

There is nothing to be afraid of,
it is only the wind
changing to the east, it is only
your father the thunder
your mother the rain
In this country of water
with its beige moon damp as a mushroom,
its drowned stumps and long birds
that swim, where the moss grows
on all sides of the trees
and your shadow is not your shadow
but your reflection,
your true parents disappear
when the curtain covers your door.
We are the others,
the ones from under the lake
who stand silently beside your bed
with our heads of darkness.
We have come to cover you
with red wool,
with our tears and distant whispers.
You rock in the rain's arms,
the chilly ark of your sleep,
while we wait, your night
father and mother,
with our cold hands and dead flashlight,
knowing we are only
the wavering shadows thrown
by one candle, in this echo
you will hear twenty years later.

Nighttime
Nighttime is a time for darkness.
The sun has gone to rest, gone to
Illuminate the other side of the Earth.
Nighttime is a time for sleep, homework,
Television, movies, and making love.
With nighttime comes a time to forget.
The time to put the day behind you.
The time for reflection, contemplation,
Fantasies, and dreams.
It is both a time to be alone
And a time to be with someone.
Children are afraid of the dark.
It is because they are alone.
Vulnerable. Monsters come out in the dark.
As they get older, darkness loses its terror.
Adults rarely fear the dark the way children do.
They learn to appreciate it.
For it is a time to forget work or school.
But they also fear it.
Especially if they are alone.
Then you are given time to think.
Think about how life would be with someone else;
To have the comfort of someone sleeping next to you.
And you wish there was someone.
But if there is someone beside you,
Someone you love, then nighttime
Becomes something to look forward to.
Nighttime becomes love.
Nighttime is a time for love.

Things That Cant Be Photographed The shadow of a rainbow,
The shape of things to come,
Heavens tiny trapdoor,
Where babies are really from.
The views that we look out upon,
When seeing eye-to-eye.
And all the things we wish wed done,
But time has gotten by.
The feel of hearts a hurtin,
The sigh of saddened breath,
The tears that one is holding back,
The peacefulness of Death.
The joy thats in Tomorrow,
With other happy things,
The knowing of how Love can grow,
In its eternal Springs.
A picture of just one of these,
Would be a work of art,
And it would be the centerpiece,
In the album of our heart.
