To: Canadian Outrage
    Yep!
 That's what it's called!
I'm trying to get off of it.

I've seen a better picture of her than that and I think there was a handsome guy standing next to her!!

Things seem to have subsided. Hopefully it will stay calm. The birds are back at the feeders....even though the stuff is soggy now. I'll have to change them tomorrow.

I was using her as a grave marker in reference to the gate in the foreground....We had walked all over that field to find the grave.....

    Very cool story.

Those are the kind of storms you get in the South tho - right? Several years ago we got a wind rip through this valley that was unbelievable. HUGE 100 year old trees were uprooted, a few folks lost their roof and I can remember David and I were leaving the office in my Jeep Grande Cherokee. And there was this frail little old man with both arms wrapped around a light post. He didn't dare let go or he'd a been gone. I stopped and David got out and put him in the back seat and we drove him home. He was SOOOOOOOO grateful!! He looked like he weighed about 110 pounds.

Well, actually, there are more thunderstorms than tornadoes and we get some hellacious downpours, but we do get hit with tornadoes too this time of year. The warnings here are scarier than other places I've lived. Basements don't seem to be real prevalent around here, presumably because of flooding potential so when you hear one is coming you basically just wait and pray....or go to Walmart.

I couldn't stand 60 minutes. Watched about 5 minutes of it. In fact, I can't really stand Bob Woodward anymore.

So, the grandkids were over while their parents enjoyed a night out to dinner and movies. We had the tv and radio off and were just enjoying them.

Just now my daughter rushes home to pick them up. They had heard on the radio that we are under a tornado warning. Just north of us I-55 has been virtually been shut down with traffic because of the horizental rain. Several funnel clouds have been reported by weather spotters.

I guess we hang on for the ride again. Last year was a disaster to a town four miles from us.

Where are you again? I forgot.

Southeast Missouri, Cape Girardeau. 56 mph winds 10 miles north of us and heavy rain, but not a leaf is stirring nor a drop is raining here.

 Very calm and unnaturally quiet.
