hmmm...no idea what may be the problem there, Resty.
Are your defensive programs set on too high a level to let outside sources enter the machine?
Keep me posted, and stay away from the bar as you tinker with the download - is my best advice.
Cheers.

Not true. I am totally unafraid of sharks. They can just bring it on anytime they want
... if they can swim through 100' of sand.

Well, I called again today and ranted at the phone company. Seems my dsl modem was somehow "lost" in the system (in other words, some moron forgot to dispatch the order on it). They said they are going to overnight it and that I would have it tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it. I might try Mozilla Firefox (the version I have) again then. I do like the features on it, and I really didn't have any problem with it until I had the dialup. I wasn't using the Mozilla popup stopper. I also couldn't make my Yahoo companion toolbar work with Mozilla, but I can live with that since it has the customized buttons at the the top.

Sorry about the DSL delay. I'm sure that after you have been using high speed modems, the dial-up can be pretty depressing.

"I'm sure that after you have been using high speed modems, the dial-up can be pretty depressing." Indeed, but it's better than nothing, right? And it IS only temporary. I'm just thankful to be all moved. Went today and got a library card and registered to vote, so I guess it's all official now. Now if I can just outwit those d**n squirrels!
