We will have to probe the Pup really hard

I think I'd prefer the staple gun.

But if you want to download Mozilla, just type that word into your search engine. The rest is easy. By the way, one more thing I like about it is that it stays ready so that when you click on its icon it loads almost instantly. For those of us with less than super state of the art computers, this is a time saving plus.

my pop-up stopper wouldn't work with it either

Don't know about the dial-up as I have cable modem but the pop-up stopper included in Mozilla works perfectly on the version I downloaded. I even uninstalled the pop-up stopper I was using since it is no longer needed.

Another proggie that I like is the IncrediMail email client...it seems to be more secure than Outlook or Outlook Express: there are both Free and Premium versions available.

I voted for Leslie in the last mayoral election - he couldn't be any worse than what we have currently; but he might break your camera all right. ;-)

I have the Foxfire, but something about it, I can't remember what, pissed me off, so it's just sitting there...

Cheers, guys.

A friend uses Firefox and swears by it. The real version comes out in September but the trial thing seems to work just fine. I've had Mozilla about a week and enjoy it as my computer seems to like it much better than IE. Both Mozilla and Firefox have had some recent security issues too but not apparently as often as IE.

I use the net a lot for purchases and the article I referenced above convinced me to switch. It quotes the US Computer Emergency Response Team (which I believe is part of the Homeland Security Department) as recommending the change. That's good enough for me.

You're right. Paying the thirty bones to upgrade and get that filter was well worth it to me.

Heheh - I finally learned NOT to mix the gin and downloads or upgrades or tweaks...it's gone much, much better for the machine.

An OMG Heads Up for beach lovers

A shark swims in shallow water near the shore as swimmers enjoy the surf just south of the Sunglow Pier in Daytona Beach Shores on Monday. Jimmy Kamerzel, 12, spotted the shark while surfing during a day at the beach with his family.

Noted. A shark will have to negotiate 100' of sandy beach as well as several rows of beach umbrellas and tourists before it gets to me. I sometimes walk in the water and make it a rule that when the water is above my toes it's time to head back in.
