Well...
He got my name via an internet thing.
That someone filled out.
Most of the info was correct, my name, phone number, address, e-mail addy and such.
(Oddly, no social sec number was on the page.)
They had my date of birth wrong, and had me listed down as currently attending college.
The Seargent was just as mystified as I was.
Got a few theories about it.
The sent page looked as if they read the info punched into the weblink straight from my file at my old armory.
(My date of birth is in the file, but buried. Oddly enough. It wasn't on everything in the folder.)
I wouldn't put it past some of my old brothers in uniform to try to 'help me' by trying ot get me back in uniform.
(They did say that if the unit ever saw combat they'd like to have me along. No, I honestly don't know why. I thought I made a pretty terrible soldier.)

OR there's someone trying to play games on me.
(Has happened before.)
But Seargent Allen got me out of their recruiting lead computer system.
(But should I ever change my mind and wish to go back into the service.. Or run into someone else who'd like to join, he said drop him a call.)

All in all, pretty weird.
Makes me wonder who else I'm going to hear from in teh coming days.
My old unit?
*shrugs*
I haven't bothered them since I left the uniform, haven't had the heart to do so.
Being a civilian again, what would my bothering them accomplish?
Anywhoos, it was an educational trip.

I just heard an anti-French quip by a little brainiac kid on a WB black family sitcom, of all places. He was talking recipes and explaining that coq in French is "chicken" and then that "pullet" is also chicken in French. One of the other kids asked, "Is everything chicken in France?" and the little wiz kid said something to the effect of "Yes, especially since our invasion of Iraq."
The other kids just looked dumbly at him, and he said, "Come on people, read a newspaper!"
