Nothing knew for me .. I'm always in trouble :0)

Well I gotta head out .. I signed the girls up for more swim lesson .. they're a the point they can float .. but they really need work in other areas ..

Jess is mad at me and doesn't want to go

I just told her I wasn't in the mood to watch her drown and to sue me if she didn't like that

I'm sorry that I have spoken about the Yankee thing .. It was done in humor and not meant to upset so many.

No one is upset with you, Mo*. Now if you insist on dishing up a big hunk of one of your famous cakes we cannot be responsible for what happens.

I'd start all over if I had the choice. It is worth it.

Even the practice is fun.

I never knew I was anything but an American before I came on FR and heard so much talk about Yankee this and Yankee that.

There are a lot of people down here who regard Yankees the same was .38SW regards Cossacks, and for the same reason.
The same reason lots of people still don't deal with Germans or Japanese even though they weren't born till after 1945.

On the other hand, I'm just rotten to everyone.

Oh, I don't think it is that serious, really. But, there is a profound difference between southerners and yankees. Southerners have a sense of humor. We can make fun of ourselves. Just do a google search for southern comedians or 'you know you are a redneck if...' posts right here on FR. Now, do a google or FR search for 'you know you are a yankee if...'

It is a continuing saga of dam yankees vs southerners even to this day, mostly in jest. One cannot eradicate history. But, I will not have my southern heritage disparaged. If anyone mentions Sherman, I will be on them like white on rice. LOL

And yes, Swervie, you are mean indiscrimately.

Funny isn't it there were a lot of Americans of German decent that fought and died fighting Hitler's Germany!

Latest Report on the Seattle falcons

24 June 2004

The Washington Mutual eyases fledged! The first one flew from the nest ledge Wednesday morning, June 16; the second fledged Friday morning, June 18; and the last two fledged Sunday morning, June 20. The first fledgling spent part of its first morning on the 45th floor balcony on the WaMu Tower. We didn’t see it again until Saturday morning, when an observer spotted both fledglings wing-flapping and hopping around near the top of the Seattle Tower. The second bird fledged on camera. It spent several minutes flying and hopping from the nest box to the back ledge (the ledge just above the nest box) to the light bar and back, before taking flight directly from the edge of the nest box. The two that fledged on Sunday took their first flights off camera, so we have no details.

As if four fledglings downtown weren’t enough, the youngsters at the I-5 Ship Canal Bridge started fledging over the weekend. This is the first time birds have fledged from this bridge, and it is a very different environment from vertical downtown Seattle. On Saturday, the male fledgling flew back and forth between the beams overhead with relative ease, while a female sibling was still on a ledge near the nest box. However, observers spotted a fledgling perched on a fence post only ten feet off the ground and another walking around in a park under the bridge! The clueless bird on the ground wandered about with little concern for walkers and joggers (most didn’t even notice it), so it was a relief when it finally flew. By Sunday, the young birds had discovered the closest power tower, which is a good place for them to perch. They’re above the people and cars, away from the water, and in a place where the adults can keep track of them, at least for a few days.

No, I'm not Japanese, but I spent some time in Japan after WWII..One of the most decorated US Army unit was a all Japanese-American unit that fought in Europe...If I remember right it was the 442nd Regimental Combat Team...

I'm a mixture of British Isles and German....I take after the German side more than the British....For what ever that is worth....

The troops of the 442nd Regiment fought in eight major campaigns in Italy, France and Germany, including the battles at Belmont, Bruyeres and Biffontaine. At Biffontaine, the unit fought perhaps its most famous battle, the "Rescue of the Lost Battalion". In this bloody confrontation, the 442nd unit lost more than 800 troops to rescue 211 members of the Texan 1st Battalion of the 141st Regi

I just made some great Ice cream with out an Ice maker, in a "Bravetti Platinum Pro 800 Watt Quad Blade Food Processing Center,"

It took less than 3 mins and its all natural and carbo free!

"Bravetti Platinum Pro 600 Watt Quad Blade Food Processing Center,"

Fruit Ice Cream
Best if prepared with Bravetti Double-Blade Food Processor

Ingredients 1 16 oz. bag frozen fruit (peaches, strawberries, etc.)

½ c. sugar Slenda (or up to ¾ c. if a sweeter treat is desired)

1 c. whipping cream, half n' half or milk

Preparation Place the double blade system into the food processor bowl.
Add the fruit evenly around the blades first, then the sugar and finally the liquid.
Pulse the machine once or twice and then turn the unit to the highest speed, letting it blend completely. Enjoy!
