Not like in the dark ages of DD, right?
*chuckle*
A hundred posts chatting about Pbase and the link's being down and or completely wiped out.
Man, those were wild times.

Rasputins of the United Nations by Judi McLeod , Canadafreepress.com
With the media spotlight trained on scandals like the oil-for-food boondoggle,
Kofi Annan and the Old Boy’s Network running the United Nations are making a cottage industry out of the occult.

I had a book on the Romanovs family and how some members were under the influence of Rasputins.

In the UN there is a Meditation room it is very austere and cold with blazar art work and weird colors.

The New American; 10/22/2001 The UN's "Meditation Room" (left) is a sort of New Age monument to the many UN-affiliated New Age and occultic groups like the Lucis Trust and the UN's Society for Enlightenment and Transformation. Stained glass near the entrance to the Meditation Room displays pagan symbolism like the god Pan (right). To those unfamiliar with the UN, such symbolism may seem out of place. But the UN sees religion and mysticism as integral to its plans. Building "a new world order requires a sense of moral obligation.... We need a spiritual catalyst to bring about change," said Samuel Insanally, a former president of the UN General...

How Does Lucis Trust, former Lucifer Publishing Co., Influence our Lives?

LUCIS COMES FROM THE WORD LUCIFER!

Much of this has a history in France and written in French!

What I don't understand is that eye with the red slash says

says Pbase is restricted setting and blocked

now I can see the photo but I don't understand what they are really saying if on some level I can't see the restriction.

Pbase used to do that all the time many many threads/years ago.
Something wacky would happen, and images would go weird and be seen one second and not the next.
No-one is sure exactly what happens.
Maybe their server needs to be defragged or something.
But it was a much more often occurence way back, and a point of humor/annoyance/anger in the DD before it became the Combined thread.

Yikes!
And they have Sri Chinmoy to help with things.. THAT aughta be worth a laugh or three.
The place needs to be exorcised, fumigated, and then burned.

Are you sure it was Pbase and not Fotki? I don't think Pbase has been around too long like Fotki has. One of the reasons I went to Pbase was because Fotki was so unreliable.

Of course I'm old and half senile, so don't go too much by me.. ;)

Resty, I have those red slashes and forbiddens on my explorer too, and most of them are for Fotki which I belong to. I don't get it either.. shrugs..

When Pbase first came out or was discovered, it had some mild server 'oops' that did weird stuff to the images.
Fotki is the more notorious one as you remember.
That one didn't just disallow you from seeing images, IIRC, it once erased a whole bunch of images.
I seem to remember when Pbase's server did something odd you asked us, "Isn't this why I quit using Fotki?"

Kofi’s Pandora:
What other goodies is Annan locking away in UN file cabinets?

Why is the "black box" flight data recorder from a downed 1994 aircraft, sent from Rwanda, in a UN file cabinet?

Why is it that no one is joining the dots between the discovery of the black box and United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s refusal to send badly needed troops to Rwanda at the request of former Canadian General Romeo Daillaire?

The UN has failed Rwanda in the tragedy of some 600,000 deaths, many of them children hacked to death by machete.

According to Candians.ca, the ABC of famous Canadians, "General Romeo Daillaire did everything he could pleading for 2,000 more peacekeepers to add to his insufficiently equipped 3,000 main force.

"Instead his forces were cut down from 3,000 to a mere 500 men, who had to watch as one of the most horrible genocides in human history took place before their very eyes."

When Annan was trotted out by Canadian Parliament earlier this month, the diplomat heaped praise on Daillaire for his dedication to Rwanda.

Kofi and Company will likely remain mum on how the black box ever got to be locked into a file cabinet.

"These Dems are unbelievable"

The only thing that's unbelievable about them anymore is the fact that, like the terrorists, they are still classified as part of the human race.

DARK Something to Wander with!

COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES OFFICIAL SEAL

The Goddess Pomona – the goddess of gardens and fruit trees – is holding in her arms a sheaf of grain, an orange, a lemon, an avocado and a few grapes to represent Los Angeles County’s agriculture. She stands on the shore of the Pacific Ocean with the San Gabriel Mountains in the background.

The engineering instruments – the triangle and the caliper – relate to the industrial construction complex of the County and Los Angeles’ vital contribution to the conquest of space.

The Spanish galleon is the San Salvador, which Cabrillo sailed into San Pedro Harbor on October 8, 1542.

The tuna represents the fishing industry of Los Angeles County, and the championship cow, Pearlette, represents the dairy industry.

The Hollywood Bowl indicates the cultural activities, while the two stars represent the County’s motion picture and television industries.

The cross represents the influence of the church and the missions of California.

Oil derricks are symbolic of the oil fields that were discovered on Signal Hill.

The words “County of Los Angeles California” surround the seal.

(The County seal was designed by former Supervisor Kenneth Hahn, drawn by Millard Sheets, and adopted by the Board of Supervisors January 2, 1957 effective March 1, 1957.)

MASH.... Removal of Cross from County Seal Brings Lawsuit
(CNSNews.com) - A Los Angeles County employee is suing the county in an effort to prevent officials from removing a cross from the county's seal. Removing the cross sends a "government-sponsored message of hostility towards Christians," Ernesto Vasquez' lawsuit says.
