Intentional or mere typo?
I have really enjoyed watching some of the remembrances of Reagan on Fox News yesterday. They played clips of some of his speeches, and many of those in his administration told stories of things he'd said and done. Although I didn't really appreciate him at the time (I was still a registered democrat during his presidency - I didn't register out of the party until Clintoon had been president for a year), I have come to appreciate him since.
Wasn't he Marine Corp? I have no idea how they were....
.....Westy.....
I miss the sleepy little town circa 1966...
I agree that they will still vote republican, but getting money out of someone you have just held hostage in their own home for 3 days is not gonna be easy.

So do I. There are more students at UT now than there were people in Austin when I was there.
And a majority on campus were members of the Young Republicans in 1963.

Loddy, do you recall La Tapatia, a great Mexican restaurant located in an old house? Wonderful food and drink!
In light of your subsequent conversion, all is forgiven. (not to mention the fact that you are both well armed and an excellent marksman markswoman shot)
LaTapatia, ElSombrero, ElMatamoros, ElPatio...dang it, now I'm hungry for some TexMex and a frozen 'rita.
I'm sure that you guys were too refined to ever have engaged in "Tortilla Fights" at any of those wonderful establishments.
Lord, it's a wonder they didn't just shoot us.
Cheers.
Whatever landed on my plate was eaten. I have never tasted better Mexican food than that served at La Tapatia.
Echo that. But all in all I'd say that Texas has done a pretty good job of keeping its cities livable, Austin's traffic notwithstanding.
Hehehe. Even though I was a registered Dem, I voted for Reagan in 1980. Carter was a disaster, even I could see that! The conversion came later...
Do think again. We're paying over 600 bones/month (Property taxes, alone) just for the priviledge of living here.
Austin, Travis County, et al, have gone slap-dap nuts!
(Oh yeah, we just voted in a Hospital Taxing District!)
It's not 1966, anymore, Toto...and this is not Kansas, either.)
Ya see the light when it kicks the bagoobies outta your wallet.
Yes, I feel your pain, but NO, I'm tired of paying for it, and YOU need to figger it out for yourself.
DOH.
I started catching on when the Dems kept making excuses for people - they're poor because it's the system, man. It's the MAN keeping them down. Uh, really? No personal responsibility whatsoever? Also, I knew people who made less money than I did (and I wasn't exactly raking it in) who got subsidized gubbmint loans to buy houses - I couldn't qualify for those loans, and I was PAYING for theirs! Another "Doh".
We all awaken, as it bites us in the ass...no sooner, no later.
Welcome, to reality, Shootist...enjoy the party.
Cheers, out there. ;-)
Man - thanks a bunch.
The moitor's blurry with all the memories, Valerie.
