I've had three Epsons, and they eat ink like water.. At least with this one, if one color runs out, you only have buy that color, and they last and last.

So, is this printer just specific to photograph printing, or can it be used for any printing? I need a new printer also. I'm tired of this ink eating monster that I have to replace the whole cartridge.

Well of course you can use it for anything Babe, but it is a photo printer.

If you just want a printer for regular stuff you can buy oen for $50. Don't waste your money on a photo one.

I see that the Republicans are once again determined to alienate thousands of wealthy supporters with this moronic siting of the G-8 Conference.

All the rich property owners on Sea Island and Jeckyl Island have been barred from using their boats, and from most land travel for 'security' reasons.
That's thousands of wealthy people who will never support the party again.

I had hoped that putting the convention in NYC, where we weren't gonna inconvenience anyone but democrats was a sign that the Whitehouse had gotten smart.

When will the damned fools learn?

I'll tell you.. I have a problem using all the ink in the six months that I'm at one place. I took my ink with me this time, bought the same printer when I was home in a few weeks, and put my four ink cartridges from Fl in it, with one or two new ones that came with it.

It has two black cartridges. One large and one regular, then you have the regular colors, and you can see the ink. Not like most with all the stuffing that always look like they still have some in them. When these cartridges are empty you know it. They look like an empty glass.

On October 22, 1986 President Reagan signed into law the Tax Reform Act of 1986. Among its provisions, the law required that every dependent age 5 or older listed on a tax return had to have their own Social Security number. This new requirement doubled SSA's enumeration workload in the following year. White House photo. SSA History Archives.

I remember vaguely that event.
I remember getting my SSN card and thinking, "Now what the devil is this?"
(I think I was all of 7 or so when we got ours. I do remember it was before 1986, and mom saying we didn't have to worry about it.)

Wow..thanks Babe. Very interesting. I will have to get the genealogy book out and check it for stuff about this incident.

There may be some pics I can scan too that might be interesting.

Who doesn't like Reagan?

Unbelievable! Interestingly, I have never heard of most of the idiots shooting their mouths off.

I'm just finishing reading Peggy Noonan's latest book on Reagan, When Character Was King
Excellent book.

Val, that building along with another that I cannot name (it had chevron like features near the top which were lighted at night) were included in the view out of my hotel window. Austin was a sleepy little city when I lived there. It is something else entirely now, far more beautiful and extremely lively.

Andersonville, or Camp Sumter as it was officially known, was one of the largest of many Confederate military prisons established during the Civil War. It was built early in 1864 after Confederate officials decided to move the large number of Federal prisoners kept in and around Richmond, Virginia, to a place of greater security and a more abundant food supply.

Gran, if it was Richmond, it seems your veteran just missed going to Andersonville.

Hey, Cuttn, how you? I just bought When Character Was King. I was at Costco last week, and it was sitting on a stack of paperbacks, where it didn't belong. So it caught my eye, and I threw it in my shopping cart. I'll have to start it.

I was so sad to hear of Reagan's passing, but as I said to my husband, Reagan hasn't been Reagan for many years.

I agree that we are called the "stupid party" because we act that way far too often. But I doubt that wealthy pubbies will desert the party, Kerry being a lover of wealth--but not its friend.

Hoss, if you have not read "The Real Jummy Carter," you must. It will make you appreciate President Reagan even more.

I have had that book for a long time, will finally read it this week.

We get Rush's show on a one hour delay. He is saying exactly what I have said a few times.
I didn't have to meet President Reagan to love him.
