BRAZZAVILLE (Reuters) - A giant three-tiered mushroom which measures a yard across and was found in the tropical forests of the Republic of Congo has left experts in the capital Brazzaville scratching their heads.
"It's the first time we've ever seen a mushroom like this so it's difficult for us to classify. But we are going to determine what it is scientifically," Pierre Botaba, head of Congo's veterinary and zoology center, told reporters on Thursday.
The giant fungi stands 45 centimeters (18 inches) high and has three tiered caps on top of a broad stem. The bottom cap measures one meter across, the second one 60 cm and the top one is 24 cm wide, Botaba said.
The bizarre-looking mushroom was found in the village of Mvoula about 40 miles from Brazzaville and transported carefully to the capital by the local chief.
Mostly!
Had the main system I'm networked through go bizzak again.
Pretty odd, honestly.
Had to do the "windows shuffle" to get it back up.
My machine, on the other hand, is acting perfectly fine.
That means there's something wrong, rigth?
OKay, okay, you got me there.
More or less alive and generally in one piece.
I thought this was just another news story about Democrats.
Invasion of the alien spore pods!
"Day of the Triffids!"
Thanks for the advice Gran. There are so many printers out there I was getting dizzy trying to figure out which one I should get.
The printer I have know is great for scanning, copying, and printing regular documents .. but the quality on the photo's isn't great and I wanted to get a another printer for just photo's
Be Nice
That sure is a purdy building
LOL...I see you now understand southern expressions.
I didn't hear the show, but there was a thread up about what she said .. and how the liberals will exploded on Friday from all the nice things they will be force to say about President Reagan
Looks like Peggy was wrong
Who doesn't like Reagan? Some critics silent, others can't hide venom
Yes I do .. and I know you .. so be nice :0)
I'm glad Gran steered you in the right direction. I haven't been happy with my Epson - it uses too much ink and is very slow. Now I want a Canon!
Every few months, PC World updates its top-ten printers chart. The ratings never get dated, because PC World reviews new releases and judges them against the printers already on its list. Canon printers occupy the first five spots this month; the Canon i320 is economical with great glossy photo output, but is slow. The more expensive Canon i550 is twice as fast. The Canon S330 produces great glossies and can print on banner paper. The Canon i850 Photo Printer is the fastest on the chart.

Looks as though Cannon's the way to go for color prints.
I'm not sure about that.. I thought Andersonville at first..but then thought of Richmond. I will have to look it up and see if I can find it in the book.
Just checked with Al.. He was kept in a prison in Richmond. Anyone know the name of the prison in that area?
Pretty pic, but sad.
Flag at half staff.
Well... I hope you're as pleased with it as I am Mo. The money on inkjets alone makes it worth it.. but you know I've been called a little picky by some, (I won't mention any names, like Woliff) and I think the pics out of it are great.
The pics I posted last week of them doing my house came out just perfect. I am framing them, with the afters.
I'll put them in the laundry room..lol.
