Yes, Dyan's news was a shocker.
It shouldn't have been, because a friend of a friend, who stopped Dyan at a party not long ago, assumed that Greg was her husband. She said, "no, he's my boyfriend." The guy looked at her and said, "not for long, you two are going to be married really soon, and how do twins sound to both of you." Her friend Brian, who's the friend of this guy, says that he's never wrong.
Well..Greg turned a little white about the twins. He figured they'd get married, but "the twins" was a shocker for him and her. Boy, I hope that guy was wrong about the twins part, lol.
Okay, back upstairs for me. Al said it might be in the nineties next week.. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Woe Is Me!
Is that stone walkway as ancient as it looks?
What an interesting comment from the friend of a friend at that party. No one ever says any such thing to me.... You would have fun photographing twins. :)
Do you have moments where you can aware of the pass, or catch gap in time of some happy occasion or drama?
I know you said you did a some history of that land and house.
You have an absolutely gorgeous home, grannie. When you get those curtains up, I want to see the inside, too. Pretty please?
Good news today. My nephew's unit will spend until November in the states (South Carolina) until they ship out to Iraq. We are hoping that he can see his wife and eighteen month old son a couple of times before he goes over. But, who knows. DJ's biggest worry is not about getting killed, but that his son will not recognize him if he returns.
I have been thinking of asking you about your wife, as you said that she has MS. My brother is still in intense burning pain from his "no name" disease, but his docs have not been able to make a definitive diagnosis of MS.
Perhaps you would care to talk of it in Freepmail and give me some information. He is getting really depressed, especially now that his son is being deployed to Iraq.
It's easy to see why y'all migrate home every year - lovely...thank you for the pics.
I hope yall don't mind me babbling today. I'm as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof. My husband is in Chicago interviewing for a BIG promotion in his company today.
Hmmm...that symptom did not/has not presented with Mrs.L. Being a registered nurse, and working for SSI to determine disability claims she pretty much self-diagnosed the problem, which was then confirmed by our neurologist.
He told us that the leisons that showed in her scans could only be from three causes (I only remember two) syphllis or MS or??? and her blood work left only MS...
She has the remitting/relapsing type, and has only had one bad episode after overdoing it several years ago on our trip to Lake Cumberland. The two things the doc told her to avoid were over-heating and over-stressing herself. She self-injects weekly with Avonex, and I guess that it is helping.
Is your brother going to a good neurologist? This disease is not at all difficult to diagnose, if you have the right equipment and training...
Feel free to ask anything that you wish here.
The very best of luck with it, CB.
GREAT ghost story - thanks.
He should have gotten the fixin and maybe she would of had a roast for him! LOL
Here's an old pan shot of the kitchen Babe. Search for the button to enlarge it on the bottom right of the pic. Will look for others when I can.. Loved the ghost story, and much good luck on your husbands job.. Woweee..;)

Patrioticus -
A visitor from the past
by Thelan Paulk
I had a dream the other night, I didn't understand.
A figure walking through the mist, with flintlock in his hand.
His clothes were torn and dirty, as he stood beside my bed.
He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low, he said:
"We fought a revolution, to secure our liberty.
We wrote the Constitution, as a shield from tyranny.
For future generations, this legacy we gave,
In this, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
"The freedom we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep,
But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep.
Your freedom gone - your courage lost - you're no more than a slave,
In this, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
"You buy permits to travel, and permits to own a gun.
Permits to start a business, or to build a place for one.
On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent.
Although you have no voice in choosing, how the money's spent.
"Your children must attend a school, that doesn't educate.
Your Christian values can't be taught, according to the state.
You read about the current news, in a very biased press.
You pay a tax you do not owe, to please the I.R.S.
"Your money is no longer made of Silver, or of Gold.
You trade your wealth for paper, so your life can be controlled.
You pay for crimes that make our Nation, turn from God in shame.
You've taken Satan's number, as you've traded in your name.
"You've given government control, to those who do you harm.
So they can padlock churches, and steal the family farm.
And keep our country deep in debt, put men of God in jail.
Harass your fellow countrymen, while corrupted courts prevail.
"Your public servants don't uphold, the solemn oath they've sworn.
Your daughters visit doctors, so their children won't be born.
Your leaders, ship artillery and guns to foreign shores.
And send your sons to slaughter, fighting other people's wars.
"Can you regain the freedom for which we fought and died?
Or don't you have the courage, or the faith to stand with pride?
Are there no more values, for which you'll fight to save?
Or do you wish your children, to live in fear and be a slave?
"Sons of the Republic, arise and take a stand!
Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land!
Preserve our great Republic, and each God-given Right!
And pray to GOD to keep the torch, of Freedom burning bright!"
As I awoke he vanished, in the mist from whence he came.
His words were true, we are not free, we have ourselves to blame.
For even now as tyrants, trample each God-given Right.
We only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight.
If he stood by your bedside, in a dream, while you're asleep.
And wondered what remains of our Rights he fought to keep.
What would be your answer, if he called out from the Grave:
IS THIS STILL THE LAND OF THE FREE, AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE???
Tennessee Herb and Prawn Grill
Fresh local ingredients are the key to any great cuisine. Tennessee freshwater prawns and herbs from Tennessees own H20Farms make this recipe especially great grilling!
2-3 lbs. Tennessee freshwater prawns
¾ cup Wesson oil
1/3 cup fresh herbs from H20 Farms: equal parts parsley, oregano and basil
1 garlic clove
¼ tsp. ground black pepper
1 small hot pepper, seeded
1 tsp. American Ace prepared mustard
¼ cup lemon juice
Combine all ingredients (except prawns) and puree till smooth. Marinate prawns 30 minutes to 2 hours. Grill medium prawns 1 to 2 minutes per side and large prawns 2 to 3 min.
Darker is very nice...it looks richer. imo.
See'ya some time tomorrow.
Your estate takes on different personality at different angles. Could you help in giving the various locations like front back and sides.
They are all so unique every time I settle in my mind which is which you gave another view.
The view on your profile is of the backyard?
