Have fun!
He who fights and runs away, lives to run another day.
A little hot rodding on the power plant and you can just do 'wheelies' over the bumps.
So9
Tenet resigns.
Good.
Now if everyone else in DC would only follow his example.
Just noticed your great new tag - amen.
It would be way kewl if Hillary! was nominated.
It would keep her too busy to run for President.
And...
Imagine the confirmation hearings!
Bipartisan.
Reaching out.
etc...
Anyone who has been in the hospital or had a loved one in the hospital can certainly relate to this -----
A woman, calling a local hospital, said, "Hello, I'! d like to talk with the person who gives the information regarding your patients. I'd like to find out if the patient is getting better, or doing as expected, or is getting worse."
The voice on the other end of the line said, "What is the patient's name and room number?"
She said, "Sarah Finkel, in Room 302...
"I will connect you with the nursing station."
"3-A Nursing Station. How can I help You?"
"I would like to know the condition of Sarah Finkel in Room 302."
"Just a moment. Let me look at her records. Oh, yes. Mrs. Finkel is doing very well. In fact, she's had two full meals, her blood pressure is fine, her blood work just came back as normal, she's going to be taken off the heart monitor in a couple of hours and if she continues this improvement, Dr. Cohen is going to send her home Tuesday at twelve o' clock."
The woman said, "Thank God! That's wonderful! Oh! That's fantastic, that's wonderful news!"
The nurse said, "From your enthusiasm, I take it you must be a close family member or a very close friend!"
"Not exactly, I'm Sarah Finkel in 302! Nobody here tells me shit!"

Loddy, have you gathered together a lot of old family photos to be scanned and repaired and filed onto CDs?
Thank you for a cheerful greeting!
Wow!
Are you available for this task?
I just brought back a truck load, and my brother has another equal batch of pics...
Thanks for asking for the work.
LOL...I bet Val will be really happy that you have accepted her offer to save your pics.
Just damn...this morning I was smiling to see seven Robins at one time in the fountain above the fishpond. They just love running water. But, later, I looked out the see that woodchuck taking a drink out of the pond. Well, he chuncked of a rock and nearly fell in, but saved himself. But, now I have to get into the pond and retrieve the rock.
*L* Yeah, I'm available.
Hey!
I'll pay well for Valerie's skills and expertise...and if I ever get the OfficeJet hooked back up, maybe she can teach me how to do some things digital.
Almost time to go get my butt kicked on Jeopardy...
Cheers.
Let me know when you want to get it started.
I'm hearing thunder again.
Reminds me of a Bob Seger tune...
.....Westy....
HI, Westy,..been trying to catch up on the threads but you guys just go too fast..got to the part about the 911 call..know just what you mean.
But down here we have this system called Life Line. WE were no 2nd on the lady next door's call list. she would push the button..somehow it was conneted to something with her phone..if the first person couldn't be reached or come then we got the call to go up the street. IF no one came then the 911 folks did. But that never happened since we were nearly always here and so was the other person It worked great..we had a key to her house ( after the helper not getting the key in the hidey hole so we could get in) and after that if we got the call we were there in less thin 5 minutes..and it was to help the lady get up. She had a bad back and she weighed a ton because she could not get up to walk around..think about the Life line thing...
