Thanks Libby, it's good to be home!
Val.. those pics you posted are just too pretty for words. They are perfect! What gorgeous skies and beautiful views..
Lake Rat - you keep posting all these beautiful pics, and goodness knows how many more folks will move here?
It's true, everyone, we enjoy some wonderful locales here.
Do you think this could be us Babe?
After putting her grandchildren to bed, a grandmother changed into
old
slacks and a droopy blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she heard
the
children getting more and more rambunctious, her patience grew thin. At
last she
threw a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them
back
to bed with stern warnings. As she left the room, she heard the
three-year-old
say with a trembling voice,
"Who was THAT?"
As Darks might say, Coolbeans.
Go Crayfish! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Hi Lod.. Where is Darks, does he have puter problems again.. or have they finally caught him?
Hey - so very nice to see ya here.
Where in TX did your daughter reside?
.....Westy.....
Ohhhhh.. gee.. She lived in Kingwood, near Houston.. Very woody..lots of trees. She said it had too many bees, and was too darned hot, lol.
But she loved the Crawfish.. ;)
Wow Westy.. How far do you travel on it? I'll bet with that scooter all you have to worry about is the battery..and speed bumps..lol.
The battery is suppose to be good for 10 miles..Just finished recharging it from todays jaunt....No speed bumps on the trail, a few curb cuts is all....When I go up to the shopping center here, if I go the short way using a blocked off street the speed bumps are a problem...In places they go all the way across the street and the scooter bottoms out going over them..They want to keep the scooter low for stability I think.....
.....Westy....
Are we back???
I was kidding about the speed bumps, but I can see how those scooters would bottom out on them. That must be a challenge.
We used to rent "Bugs" in Mex.. and there were many times that the Bug would get hung up on speed bumps. The ones coming out of the airport were the worst. That was funny. It happened all the time with the Bugs, and they would have to get a few people to lift them off.
Westy, then you would appreciate one of these medical alert systems. Actually, they are little more than a glorified answering service, but they do keep your medical history and contacts. You just wear this wireless thingee on your wrist at all times.
If you fall and cannot get up, you just punch the activation button. They will immediately call back and ask you if you need assistance. Then, you make the decision as to whether YOU want them to call your neighbor, daughter or whoever...or if you want an ambulance. O course, if they do not receive an answer from you if you become unconscious, they will call your designated ambulance or hospital.
I just got back from the granddaughters t-ball game. Its simply amazing how agressive the little girls become after only three games...and they don't ever keep score yet. LOL
.....Westy....
.....Westy.....
Amazing...we'll be going to Kingwood for the wedding of Mrs.L's best friend's daughter in a couple of weeks.
I love that one, Val. Awesome.
Do you get the feeling he was ignoring you? Hehee...
