I have been doing my family history which is relaxing and gives one a sence of knowing those I never met but can appreciate their walk on the earth!

There are so many treasures to be gleamed from family history.

What one nevers considers but I heard is true many are right there in the room with you.

Than again like you unless it is serious ~

"I Didn't have a heck of a lot of concentration for anything."

But I do find doing family history relaxing and enlightening!

I wish I could do my own side Resty. Al's family is just about all done and recorded, but I have very few facts to go on with my Dad and Mom. I was the youngest and no one ever wrote anything down, and what I knew I have forgotten. All I have is where my Dad was born and his discharge papers from WW1.

All I know is that my Dad's family came from some Shire in England and my Mom came from Nova Scotia.

Thank you for the LDS information and linkage, Resty.

I'll be on hold all day with the striking nitwits over at SBCGlobal trying to get my dad's now disfuntional telephone line repaired...joy, oh joy.

Nope. THEM! Giant ants.

The Thing! was a thawed out frozen alien, based on the much better John W. Campbell, Jr. short story "Who goes there?"

THEM.. I must have seen that if it's old.. I have seen all the good scary old ones I think..

It's not a remake?

No. I would love a remake! It was the first and is said to be the best of the giant insect genre.

Still some more modern science and better special effects would do wonders.

I remember giant ants.. It must be that movie.. It was good if I'm right..

What was the one with the smooth faced guy with no sleeves in his vest, and used to wear his pants long 'cause his shoes were too short? Nice looking guy. I used to be in love with him..

He was an alien and a good guy.. ..War of the Worlds? Hmm.. I don't know if that was it.. Also 50's genre.
