Do yourself a favor and just come on over to Fort Worth. Anyway, Texas Land & Cattle Co. is pretty good. I don't know if they have one in Grapevine. If I was eating in Grapevine I'd go to Carabba's, their kinda Texan Italian.

Tha atmosphere is neat at the Rainforest Cafe at Grapevine Mills. There is also a Cheesecake Factory in Frisco at that mall - on 121.

On 1960, close to the airport, there is a place known for 'throwed rolls'. Good food, relaxing atmosphere, but I don't remember the exact name - just east of I45.

When we lived in Grapevine, Esparza's was our hang out. Their Mexican food was the best at the time, but I haven't been there in awhile. I hope it hasn't changed. I would go there. Nice atmosphere and good food.
Meek, we should go there next time I'm in town. I'm lonesome for Mexican food. We're having fajita's tomorrow night.

You really need to learn where good places to eat are located from the locals! Oh, of course ! Houston Freepers are at lunch right now.
As soon as they get back, they'll (hopefully) be here from my ping and let you know the best places in Houston.
Houston is HUGE, so there are a BUNCH of restaurants there to choose from.

Some Houston FReepers are kind of out of town right now and it's way past even dinner time and I'm getting ready to go to bed, but I can still mention some favorites.
Cafe Adobe on Westheimer at Shepherd. (I dreeeam about the cheese enchiladas and tacos al carbon! How I miss them.)
Star Pizza in The Heights. Oh, yeah.
Katz's Deli on Westheimer and Montrose.
Beck's Prime Hamburgers - various locations.
Pappasito's fajitas! The other stuff there is just so-so, but the fajitas ROCK.
El Tiempo over in the Greenway Plaza area. GREAT margaritas and GREAT food.
OK, now I'm just torturing myself...

www.dallasdinesout.com <--very cool website for dallas restaurants. Baby Does is pretty cool, offers a great view of downtown area. Addison , which is a north dallas suburb is restaurant central.

You might try the new Gaylord Texan Resort. It is a new hotel that is a major tourism attraction in Grapevine with a lot of shops and restaurants that will have a Texas flair.
