"Please, God, watch over our troops and bring them home, safe and sound, to their loved ones and a grateful America."
Amen!!
Thank you for that beautiful poem, Lori. Hope you don't mind that I used your words for a prayer for our troops.
It sounds like things are pretty rough in the Middle East right now. Thank you for reminding all of us to continue to pray for our young men and women.

Good evening, Elenheru!! We missed you but it is great that you had a good vacation.
Did you see the two poems of yours that I posted? I think they looked pretty good.
I still have one from before your vacation.
Have a wonderful week.

Put some Claret in me Barrett -- hey, that's onyx's favorite song -- we have to drag her out on the dance floor, archy -- yoo hoo -- onyx -- come out and play. Remarkable! That was one of spatzies favorites too, I believe...the one she'd always sing in the shower, if she wasn't humming *this one*.

Almost anyplace with the word "Point" in the name is good. I might be suspicious of *Hell's Point* or *Shark Point,* I expect....

Time for a Sing-a-Long at Amy's Place! The "Birthday Boy" gets to lead it!

"Hot Dog" (Parody by Phil Alexander)
Tune of "Hot Stuff" by Donna Summer
Sittin' here eatin' some nouvelle cuisine
It's the kind of food that I hate
Paid an awful lot of money for it
Almost nothing came on my plate
[Chorus:]
Lookin' for a hot dog maybe this evening
I need a hot dog maybe tonight
I want a hot dog maybe this evenin'
Gotta have a hot dog
Gotta have some food tonight
I need hot dog
I want a hot dog
I need a hot dog
Lookin' for a meal where the food is real
Don't want another pea on its own
Wanna fill my stomach at one sitting
And take a doggy bag back home
Hot, hot, hot, hot do-og
Hot, hot, hot
Hot, hot, hot, hot do-og
Hot, hot, hot
[Chorus]

Spookie!!! Hey girl! Saw your IM, but you'd already logged off when I got back to my PC.
I've been on a self-imposed "spring break" from FR. No particular reason - just had real-life stuff to do.
How are YOU????? When you coming to visit???

The electricity went out for a minute, but it's back on. I hope I can come see you soon. I'm about to run away from home. I keep trying to figure out how I can get away with it.

Yes, the great ones all think alike, don't they? The Trashmen are perfect for shower acoustics -- the words are easy to remember, and the papapapapapa ooo mow mow papa ooo mow mow bounces off the tiles like nothing else. Certainly a lot better than "Running Bear" or "Speedy Gonzalez." But maybe not as good as "Rama Lama Ding Dong." In all modesty, I can do a pretty good phonetic version of "Sukiyaki" if the grouting is just so. How are you with "Dominique"? And it looks like onyx is playing hard to get here tonight. Well, we will just have to party on without her. Buzz buzz a diddle it.

To: SpookBrat
Queen. Hmmmmmmmm... A group of guys who name their band "queen". I was so naive once upon a time! hahahahaha
Heading to bed soon Spookie. This getting up too stinkin' early and working full-time takes its toll on my poor ol' bod. Glad I got to 'see' you tonight!!!

In all modesty, I can do a pretty good phonetic version of "Sukiyaki" if the grouting is just so. I've got to remember that one for the anime club here- theme songs from more current offerings are more the usual treat, so it may be time to play Stump the Youngsters.
How are you with "Dominique"? Le Boudin is more my style, Sister Soire's hat won't fit me, and I'm more recently familiar with the Europop offerings from Axelle Red anyway- it's not too much of a stretch to think of her kicking out a duet with Millie Small or Linda Scott.
And it looks like onyx is playing hard to get here tonight.
I think it breaks her heart to hear about the music with no way to hear it...her sound player won't cooperate.
But I'm certainly in favour of letting the little girl dance....
