Bowing to intense pressure from Mel Gibson's father, Jews announced today that they would no longer control the world.
In a press release, Jews stated, "Although we have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of world domination for the last 3000 years, we feel it's time for gentiles to take control of their own affairs. We plan to spend more time with our families and pursue other interests."
Hutton Gibson stated he was pleased with the announcement, but expressed concern he was losing a scapegoat for all of his problems.
He said he would be launching a search for a new minority group to demonize.
Many Jews expressed relief that they could give up burdensome responsibilities. Retired accountant Jerry Friedman, who controls all media in Montana, said, "I would just as well let the citizens of Montana manage their own TV and newspapers. Don't get me wrong, Montana is a fine state. But it gets awfully cold, and there's nowhere to get a good bagel."
Attorney Allen Franks said he's glad he no longer has to manage Bulgarian monetary policy. "It was getting to be quite a hassle," he said. "I already have a full time job and can't even balance my own checkbook, let alone control the finances of an entire nation."
Homemaker Judith Levine said she would "...miss the hustle and bustle of setting the international price for magnesium every day. But my son is about to become Bar Mitzvah, and oy! Such a party we're gonna have, you wouldn't believe!"
Hollywood producer Sidney Greenbaum was pessimistic about the announcement. "Do you really think goyim know how to make movies?" he asked. "They'll all end up being high budget, technicolor snuff flicks if you leave things up to Mel and his kind."
Comedy experts expressed concern that the business would suffer if Jews suddenly withdrew. According to one insider, "Take away all the Jewish comics and writers, and all you have left is Carrot Top. That's not a world I want to live in."
Then you are attacking Mel. Since you brought up "acorns" is that your family tree?
"that would lead me to believe that Gibson took any particularly offensive anti Semitic direction with it, other than my understanding that there are inaccuracies that tend to spring from a particular set of language prejudices of his (and which are directly related to an obsession with Latin by certain traditional Roman Catholics).
Maybe you should clarify this. What do you mean by related obseessions?
I thought his public statements on his views on Judaism were pretty weaselly, but if it were my dad, I'd have probably said the same things.
So, supporting your dad is "weaselly".
Again, secular and leftist attacks on The Passion, Mel Gibson and his father have lead to greater movie sales. Thank you Yonif! Are you on the pay roll by any chance? ...stop attacking Christians. Hutton Gibson is no Christian, and gets no quarter from me.
Forgive me, I didn't get the name of your father.
if his views are being "spun" to advance an anti-Christian point of view, then let the critics be known for what they are. Christ haters.
I think justanotherday believes Mr. Hutton Gibson has been slandered.
While he is probably correct in saying that Hutton's views have been made public in an effort to discredit his son's film, to say Mr. Gibson was slandered is probably a stretch, since it looks like he really did say those things.
And I saw the Passion. It was a great movie without an anti-Semetic moment. Mel is not his father and he can't choose his parents but it doesn't help anybody's agenda to allow a denial of the scope of the Holocuast to go unchallenged or to imply there is a world-wide Jewish conspiracy of some type.
Concerning Greenspan, I always thought he was some kind of Ayn Rand objectivist despite his Jewish heredity.
Exactly.
Don't forget about the "Committee of 300."
True, I guess, however most people know him due to the fact he is Mel Gibson's father, so it isn't surprising that he would use that title. Just like we would this term to describe Bill Clinton's brother, etc.
But believe me, the writer in question is not part of the group against the film or Mel Gibson.
I see this article probably as not just against Hutton, but against people who think like him.
He probably knows about it. Its not just about this man, but many other people who think that way around the world. He is laughing at them.
And incidentally, this is a recycled joke with only a few minor changes. I read the original some time ago (maybe on the Onion?) and it had no references to the Gibsons.
Thanks for the info. If you find a link to it please post it.
I am not denying that. But I find it hard to believe why you are concluding that this person writing the article is part of the attackers...
I didn't find the one I thought I recalled with no Gibson reference. But I did find the same one all over the place attributed to some guy named Dan Barash. This one might be the original source.
Up until Mel Gibson made his most recent movie how many articles were written about his father? I don't think many. Now all of a sudden the attacks intensify. Why now? Coincidence? To say it has nothing to do with the movie is stretching it a bit - don't you think?
It has to do with the movie in the sense that his father is being talked about. But his father represents other people with the same views. This article is directed against the views of the father, and others who have that view as well. It is not an attack on the movie, as other people have used the father. The views of the father are nothing new and have been used by others.
