There is no talking to the pro-terrorist crowd. Save your breath.

IMO you should NOT have re-published this asinine screed here at all.

Choke off the pro-terrorists' propaganda machine and the real Americans will flourish with the truth.

You will never out reason them. Lib-uh-rhuls don't DO reasoning.

Facts will leave them unimpressed, as they are utterly immune to them.

Remember the don't think, they feel.

You'll have to out feel them.

Good luck, you're going to need it...

"I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner"

His name was Tim McVeigh.

Is this a problem?

That reminds me of the notorious piece, "Bush's Resume" which can be found, among other places, at about.com. It is methodically shredded by Curt King in this PDF file.

Unfortunately, to those of the left, "truth" is defined as "whatever provokes the most pleasant emotion", and "I'm appalled!!!!!" is considered a reasoned, logical, and methodical refutation of any factual argument.

there is nothing you can do... did you see The Passion of the Christ? if so, do you remember when Pilate asked Claudia if she could show him what was true? and she said something like, "if you won't hear the truth, nobody can tell you/show you." i truly believe that...

i've given up on talking politics with my parents, especially my father... but i stay out of it with my siblings, too... even when they try to get me into their conversations, i've learned to stay out...

the sad thing is--even though they are democrats, their beliefs line up much more with the republicans... but there is no way they would even believe that... for myself, i've only been a registered republican for four years, though i've been voting conservative for about twelve years... i did vote liberal for eight years... (Mondale and Dukakis--ick!)...

Hi! We received a similar e-mail several weeks ago and this was our reply:

"It's election time again, and

just so you know: I attacked and took over 2 countries."

Is this a bad thing?
1. Afghanistan now has a Constitution which guarantees rights for women and other oppressed minorities
2. Iraq no longer has “rape rooms” and mass murders by Saddam and his sick sons. The amount of people being killed or wounded is we below what has been going on for the past 30 years under the Stalinist regime of the Baath Party.
"I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury."

Really? I hadn’t heard that the Treasury was bankrupt? What news story is cited for this “fact.” Also, for your info the US budget was never in surplus unless you discount the Social Security “trust funds” that has never existed.

"I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!)."

Again, not true. The budget deficit is at 3.5% of the gross national product (less than Clinton ran in the early 90’s). The German and French deficits are both over 3%.

"I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period."

Wow! I didn’t know that the President had control over personal bankruptcies. What, exactly did he do to cause persona bankruptcies? Don’t people take any responsibility for their own actions and personal decisions anymore?

"I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market."

Again, not true. The Dow Jones average is ABOVE the level it was at when Bush took office. Even the Nasdaq (remember the Dot com bubble) is above the level it was in 2001.

"I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner."

So what?
Might this person be Timothy McVeigh? Maybe we could just give him parole?

"In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did)."

Presidents don’t get a vacation, they work wherever they are. Depends on the meaning of the word vacation doesn’t it? At least Bush wasn’t getting “blow-jobs” in the White House while taking to foreign leaders.

"After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history. "

Presidents don’t get a vacation. What did Cinton do when we were attacked by terrorists on his watch?

"I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in US history."

You’ve got be joking! Clinton put more miles campaigning on Air Force 1 than any President in history.

"In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs."

Depends which measure of losses/gains that you use. Unemployment is at 5.6%. That is lower than the average of the 90’s, 80’s, and 70’s. We GAINED quite a few jobs during this period also. (A fact that the socialists ignore).

"I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in US history."

Really? When did that happen? I read reports of people getting their benefits EXTENDED to an all-time record during Bush’s first term.

"I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period."

Again, does the President go to homeowners and serve them their foreclosure notice. More Americans own homes now than EVER in history.

"I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history."

Cite some facts to back up your assertions please. Let’s look at the Clinton record:
-Number of individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine who have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes: 47
- Number of these convictions during Clinton's presidency: 33
- Number of indictments/misdemeanor charges: 61
- Number of imprisonments: 14
Number of congressional witnesses who have pleaded the Fifth Amendment, fled the country to avoid testifying, or (in the case of foreign witnesses) refused to be interviewed: 122 (9/99)

"I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV."

So what?

"I signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other US president in history."

I really don’t think that this “fact” is true. Clinton signed more executive orders in his last 3 months than any President in history

"I presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed."

Obviously you were not around when Jimmy Carter was President. Gas prices (after adjusting for inflation) were at $3/gallon in 1980.

"I cut health care benefits for war veterans."

The budget for health benefits for war veterans went from 22.4 billion in 2001, to 23.8 in 2002, to 26.4 in 2003. It is projected to go to 29.1 in 2004. I see no cut…

"I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind."

In 1941 MOST people in the world would have demonstrated against America! Does this make our country WORSE than Hitler’s Germany or Stain’s Soviet Union. Think, don’t emote!~

"I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history."

Name one. Most of the treaties agreed to under previous administrations were never approved by the Senate. If they are not approved by 2/3 of the Senate then they are not officially sactioned under US lawTherefore they were never “dissolved.”

"I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history."

It would help to cite examples

"Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history.(The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.)"

Good, that means that they were successful people before they were selected for government service. Most people in government are “lifers” (like Al Gore, John Kerry and ) that NEVER had a job outside of government. They don’t have a clue about how our economic system works.

"I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy."

I live in SC and we are not “struggling against bankruptcy.” Where does this person get their facts from? Also, the President is not responsible for the states’ fiscal problems. Did the author of this e-mail graduate high school or is the education system in America worse than I thought?

"I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world."

Again, not true. All of the fraud that occurred at Enron, Worldcom and Anderson Accounting occurred in the 1990’s. All the fraud has been prosecuted under Bush!

"I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community."

Ever hear of Bosnia and Kosovo? NO UN approval (That’s going well after 5 years of occupation isn’t it?).

"I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security"(only one letter away from BS)."

Personly’ I hate the growth of government, but the Department of Homeand Security was originally proposed by the Democrats’

"I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in US history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!)."

This your one point that I agree with. I just wonder if Kerry would propose that we spend LESS money?

"I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission."

Maybe because Iraq and Libya were put in charge and their agenda was to go after Israel instead of repressive regimes like Sudan (which HAS slavery) or Cuba (which is a society that does not value individual rights). Get real!

"I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board."

So what? The UN has made themselves irrellivant.

"I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history."

How does the executive branch "remove checks and balances?" Is that why the Senate is blocking his judicial nominations via the unprecedented use of filibuster (never happened before in US history)?

"I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant. I withdrew from the World Court of Law."

Maybe this is a good idea. They want to convict US soldiers and elected leaders of our country for wartime actions to protect our nation. Milovan Slobovich is probably going to be found not guilty in the Word Court because of incompetence after a 2 year trial.

"I refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions."

These were not prisoners, they were “enemy combatants.” Let them out of detention and they will be training to fly planes into buildings (our something worse).

"I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections."

We have the most honest elections in the world. Why would we need the help of China, Cuba, Russia, Egypt, North Korea, and other totalitarian countries to “monitor” our elctions?

"I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations."

So what? Most of GW’s contributions come small contributions from private citizens. Do you know that a large percentage of Democratic contributions come from big donors ($2000))?

"The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in
world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation)."

Actually, Ken gave more money to Clinton and Gore in the past 7 years (look it up). The company also supported the belief that “global warming” exists. We KNOW that GWB doesn’t believe this. What is their conection?

"I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history."

And your point is? (And I doubt if your assertion is true)

"I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)."

What an outrageous statement! Did you want the President to be killed on 9/11? NOBODY knew what was going on 9/11. Most President’s in the past were not under direct threat by people who attacked our country. I hope you are embarrassed by your ridiculous assertions!

"I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government."

Not true. Roosevelt also established a “shadow government.” Maybe it has something to do with us being at war?

"I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history)."

What a ridiculous statement. If people had sympathy after 9/11 why did it dissipate in the ensuing months? Is it because they are not interested in confronting an enemy, but merely appeasing them?

Also, I don’t believe that this was “the biggest diplomatic failure in US and word history.” What an overblown statement, not backed up by any facts or examples.

"I am the first US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability."

Really? Show me a chart or graph.

Also, what did the people of Europe think in 1943 (please include Poland, Germany, Italy, occupied France, occupied Holland, occupied Belgium, and other occupied countries in western Europe)?

"I changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts."

What the hell are you talking about?

"I set the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for gov't contracts."

Again, what the hell are you talking about?

"I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history."

Can you cite an example of your assertion?

"I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down."

Again, not true unless you cite some statistics that I have not read.

"RECORDS AND REFERENCES: I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available).

"I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.(wink, wink)"

GWB has been drug free for many years. Maybe you should look into your buddy Bill Clinton for drug use (since his brother is a convicted drug dealer and said that his brother (Bill) “..had a nose like a vacuum cleaner” (referring to cocaine usage. Did you know that Bill Clinton never released his medical records?

"All records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my fathers library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view."

Not true. Check the record.

"I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack

As I understand it he wanted to go back to DC as soon as possible, but his security team talked him out of it. Besides, Cheney was already at the WH, and the President and vice President are kept apart as often as possible for security reasons, ESPECIALLY in circumstances when the nation itself is under attack.

Presidents don’t get a vacation, they work wherever they are. Depends on the meaning of the word vacation doesn’t it?

Exactly! Clinton went on more fundraising trips than Bush ever took "vacations". But Clinton didnt label those things "fundraisers" or "vacations". Instead, he portrayed these trips as important Presidential business. (if he took a trip overseas it was portrayed as a diplomatic function, rather than what many of them really were: A first class vacation for him and his cronies paid for by the taxpayers). When Bush goes to his Ranch, or Camp David, he doesnt hide these trips under some phony official function.
