Lt. John Kerry left active duty in early 1971.
He never resigned his US Navy Officer's commission did he?
Where is the proof?
Where is the evidence?
Where are Lt. John Kerry's military records?
Inactive reserve from 1970-1972.
Kerry ran for Congress in 1970 as a war hero and lost to a Republican.
Then got heavy duty into leadership and fund raising for the VVAW (and himself?)
No meetings, weekend training, or summer camp training.
Going to Kansas City; Kansas City here I come VVAW and Scott Camil on November 12-15th, 1971.....
Active Reserve 1972-1978 according to his bio.
He was again running for Congress, this time as a combo war hero and anti-war VVAW activist.
How many meetings did John Kerry attend each year in active reserve from 1972-1978?
Did Kerry get any dental exams from the US Navy 1972-1978 while in the active reserves?
According to the Harvard Crimson John Kerry then told them he signed out Oct 15, 1970 and made sure he did not put his "duty destination" that day as the VVAW "Moratorium" and that he put on civvies while on active US Navy duty at the Brooklyn Navy Yard to fly Bobby Kennedy's former radical leftist speechwriter and then current anti-war protest organizer to a NY state VVAW rally.
Kerry blabbed at lot to the libs at his alma mater's Crimson offices.
But checking that out is mean negative character "assassination" and will not feed one more liberal lobbyist or bribe one more democrat journalist or buy one more Heinz 57 ketchup plant in Viet Nam, North Korea, France, or Red China.

That's o.k. Most of us knew what you meant. We Texans still remember the Alamo, but some native New Yorkers have already forgotten 9/11.

I read something this morning that I can't find now [on Trixie's web page] about missing or stolen FBI files on Kerry. Then Hillary's name came up all over.
Anybody know about this? And if it's true?

RE: "If only it were that easy."
Let's see... It would take a Lawsuit... and a Lawyer. I understand John Edwards might be looking for work... (...something without Algore as a role model.)
...and actually, how hard would it (...proving John Kerry provided 'aid OR comfort' to the North Vietnamese OR Vietcong) really be??? ...Slam Dunk?
Of course, once the suit was won, we'd still have to rely upon the Congressional Majority not to roll over on us, and grant Kerry a 'work permit'. Hmmm. Could be dicey there. Is that what worries you?

This applies to acts after taking an oath to support the constitution in one of those offices. Therefore, Kerry would have had to swear an oath BEFORE his 1971 resurrectionist activities for this to apply.
Good try, though.

#25. He did, prior to 1971. When he entered the U.S. Military!!!!

I heard a 'rumor' - unproven, apparently, since I understand no one has 'seen his service records' - that Kerry was an officer in the United States Navy. If so, wouldn't he have been required, back then, to take this oath?:
NAVPERS 1000/22 -- OATH OF OFFICE *
"Having accepted the appointment indicated above, I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter; So help me God. (!!!)"
...again IF SO, wouldn't that be "...having previously taken an oath... as an officer of the United States"???
Seems like that should do it, unless... He really WASN'T a USN officer...???
Of course, with HIM, you never can tell. We may just have to wait to see what sort of 'clarifications' he will provide next.

Okay. I hate to sound ignorant but how exactly does this apply to John Kerry? Because of his protests in the past? Please help! He's so far beyond "aid and comfort" to North Vietnam and the Viet Cong it's a joke.
To: Seadog Bytes
To: Qwinn
This was never intended to be applied to anyone except Southern white males, so Kerry doesn't have to worry.
To: Qwinn
And it's not hard to show that he provided aid and comfort to the enemy, considering that he was hailed as a hero by the Viet Cong in their own media propaganda at the time. See John Kerry and the Communist Daily World for several examples...
To: kidkosmic1
The people of the USA will have to enforce it by not electing him. Congress won't enforce it.

It would be dragged out so long that it would run into Condi's second term before it was settled.

He did. As you can see in the law, it says "As an officer of the United States". He did swear an oath as an officer of the U.S. before he went to Vietnam.
And yes, for the record, Kerry was in Vietnam. Just in case you didn't know. ;)
