Still up. I promised myself I'd finish some work and I spent my day freeping and watching tv and not feeling well, so I didn't start my work until late. I thought I'd check in one last time before I took out the ole contacts. (this FR is addicting, isn't it?)
I too stopped watching the Sunday shows. Everything I need to know, I learn on FR.

Clarke said on CBS and in his testimony that Clinton made terrorism his highest priority, while the Bush Administration didn't take it seriously. This has been proven a lie, as there are numerous reports about what things the Bush Administration did to improve the situation before 9/11. In addition, Jim Angle of Fox dug up an old background briefing by Clark on tape in which he said the exact opposite to his testimony.
Now it also turns out that Clarke's testimony to the Intelligence Committeees was wildly different than what he testified to foro the 9/11 Commission. Frist is looking at having that testimony declassified so that a possible perjury charge can be filed.
Meanwhile, it turns out that the Kerry camp knew this was coming.
I think that's about it.

Good Morning All-
Just watched the first DVD of the WORLD AT WAR documentary series from the 1970's. Loved it years ago and it's just as good now in 2004.
Lots planned for later Sunday, so I'm hittin' the rack. Good night.

yep. Me and my insomnia are old friends. 15-30 minute nap and I'm up for a while. When I can get to sleep good I sleep well and for a full 8. Kind of hit and miss with it though.

Actually, I am interested. Several people on the America the Right Way thread have come down with insomnia the last few weeks. We vary in age, location, and sex. None have ever had sleeping problems before. Very weird. Miss Marple, I had missed noticing that... let me throw this out for whatever it is worth.
Over a year ago, before my Mom entered the dying process, as those in the health care industry so quaintly put it, my old dog started waking me up earlier and earlier every morning.
She didn't need to go out, she just seemed to want an adult human being up, awake, and on duty- once I got up, she'd fall back asleep at my side. This started before anyone knew my mother was entering the end of her life, and my point is that that somehow my old girl sensed something was wrong.
After Mom passed away, this behaviour subsided, only to start again last summer when my wife's mother started having medical problems.
Well, this too came and went, but in the last couple of weeks, she's been getting me up earlier and earlier. For whatever it's worth, there you have it- something is making her think she needs a man up and alert.

Me and my insomnia are old friends. LOL! I've always been a nightowl and so on most weekends I let myself go and sleep all day, then am up all evening and night. My wife of 29 years says she gets all the benefits of divorce without having to hire a lawyer. :)

Thanks sounds like campaing mud slinging and the Dems. never seem to have anything concrete.
Wish things would get more organized on the issues and truth all the talking head and jibbering is boring and ruins the clarity.
It was great on the all night "shock and awe" threads as the news stations were way more organized in going over events as they unfolded.

Oh, I'd sleep if I could. Tomorrow's gonna have a nap in it sometime for sure.
It's strange...I get that 15-30 minute sleep period and then I'm up for hours after that. If I never would've woken up I'd be asleep. Can't even say what woke me up. Didn't even get into a heavy sleep.
Pretty much been a nightowl most of my life too.
My wife of 29 years says she gets all the benefits of divorce without having to hire a lawyer.
LOL! Whew, 29 yrs!? Congrats to the two of ya! Maybe ya'll have the knack of it.

Well I hope you get the longer and deeper sleep you need. I fought it for years, but since I own my own company, as long as I'm around part of each workday, I'm OK and can do project work overnight when there are no interruptions - except checking FreeRepublic every 10 minutes of course! :)

More interesting than usual???
These Sunday morning shows are just talking suits reciting their pre-prepared talking points, from which they don't stray. Their is nothing interesting about it. The moderators don't have the time or inclination to ask follow-up questions. Even if they did, it wouldn't matter. They would just get a mindless recitation of the affor-mentioned talking points. Its a colossal waste of time.
