Hamas has threatened retaliation for yesterday's killing of its leader, and has, for the first time, directly threatened the United States for terrorist activity.

OPEC is hesitating on production cuts, which is causing world oil prices to ease somewhat.

CBS' 60 Minutes did not reveal the stake that it's parent company had in selling Clarke's new book when it broadcast Clarke's interview Sunday last.

I thought I read somewhere that Clarke has three hours to testify tomorrow.

And the 'rats in the Senate wouldn't approve many of the President's nominations to appointed positions.

Btw, are the "diplomatic" efforts in Korea the Mad Hatter is referring to the ones in which we make deals that allow other countries to work on nuclear weapons to throw back at us? Sheesh!

I just spoke with Khalida on the phone. She cannot move her left arm at all and the left side of her body is generally weak. This was caused by her heart stopping and her brain not getting enough oxygen. Tomorrow she will have a lot of tests done and start on PT.

Thanks again for your prayers. She's back and I'm thankful for that.

I'm reading an article in the LA Times about the panel today. Colin Powell does not look like a happy camper in the photos I've seen. He's shooting nasty looks at his questioners.

I'm trying to catch up on the Dose now. Just came across DrDeb's post recommending watching the President's honoring of the NCAA championship teams (posted on the White House web site). At the end, he kisses a representative from one of the women's teams ... and the reaction from the other girls is really cute.

If you can access it and view the video, I recommend it ... at least fast forward to the end and catch that part ... :-)

Great clip. I know I'm a big Bush-bot, but President Bush is such a people person. He is having some fun there, and I know he works extremely hard as well. I'm really working for four more years of his leadership. (I am however, getting an odd feeling about this election. Something I can't quite put my finger on...)

If, God forbid!, President Bush should lose, I recommend that all of us on the ATRW thread put together our resources and buy an island somewhere and move there ... I really think the 'rats are out to destroy America!
